Chapter 3

Layla slid into the seat nearest to The back, hoping to get lucky and not have to sit by anyone. Sadly, luck was not in her favor. A short brunette strutted into the bus, acting as if she owned the world and everyone should obey her. The girl looked around the oversized van and finally started to do her little strut again, strutting right in front of Layla. "Hi" said brunette girl "I'm Julia!" Layla examined the girl, looking for any signs of popularity. If she found any signs she would retreat closer to the front, making sure she didn't make eye contact. Once she saw No signs she replied "Hey, I'm Layla." Julie didn't even ask to sit, she just plopped right down on the spot of her choice. She must of picked up on how uncomfortable Layla felt because she started to get up and move. "Wait," Layla whispered "sorry for acting this way, please just sit." Julie seemed a bit annoyed but, thankfully she just plunked her headphones right into her ears, humming to what seems to be Justin Bieber. All of a sudden, the bus jerks to a stop, throwing Layla out of her seat soaring over her seat, and into a young boys lap in front of her. "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry!" She stuttered The boy didn't seem to mind, in fact he just smiled! This startled Layla a bit, for if it was one of the boys from her school, they would have cussed we out. Slowly Layla got up and climbed over, back to her seat. Julie was looking at her when she got back. "You like him." She said with a huge grin "I can tell, I'm magazine editor, I have to know these things!" Layla sheepishly grinned. "Yeah, I guess I do..." Julie almost fell off of her seat. "We are going to be the best of friends! Yelled Julie, but all Layla could think about was what kind of mess she had gotten herself into now...
