She looks at him, "Wow." She thought "out of all these years she had never seen her dad cry. He has watched best friends die, and witnessed her mother leaving him for another man, but not once has he shed a tear." All that teary eyed stuff was gone in a minute, he threw the envelope in a drawer and locked it. "Hope your happy!" He mumbled under his breath. She eyes the drawer, the one holdin her ticket to extreme pain, emotional and physically. She tries to pry it open but all she does is make it lock itself tighter and tighter. She looks at the drawer one more time, before becoming terrified and sprinting to her room.

************2 months later**********

Layla stands in front of her mail box, listening to the wind, checking every sign for an oncoming "prison bus". Her dad comes out and says "hey sweetie" she looks at him "I'm sorry for all of this, so I decided that, even though I know I can't, I tried to make it up to you." He pulls out a long rectangular box. She quickly opens it, when she scans the box, she's see nothing, nothing but a quick shine of silver! She grabs the necklace and examines every inch of it. It has a small charm on it, a little van. "It's...it's supposed to be the boot camp van. Every week or so ill try to send u a new charm. It's supposed to help u keep going or something like that!" She smiled at him "thanks sarge!' She yells He grabs her into a big bear hug, then all in 5 minutes flat she is whisked away onto a large bus, with people that everyone knows!
