You were just an ordinary girl living in New York City with your family until you ran away from home upon your family's command. Your parents told you to run as a robot with a blue covering, a brain looking thing in its stomach area, and a gun came into your apartment. The robot knew you by name as he said for you to come with him.
First, you had wondered how the robot had known your name and second you wondered why a robot was in your apartment. As your parents fled behind the couch, they told you to run to the window and get out through the fire escape. You looked back at them for a moment. They nodded to you and you quickly hugged both of them before getting out of the window and down the fire escape.
When you began to run, you had no clue where to run, so you looked up into the sky while thinking of where to go, but then you heard many noises. It sounded like two loud engines. Two large trucks passed you. One was a normal white van and the other was a van covered with graffiti of all kinds. They both raced around the corner. Both of them passed you two more times, until the van with the graffiti stopped beside you while you were walking.
There was a beeping jingle like on an airplane that the seatbelt sign was turning on in. The door on the side that was facing you slid open and there you saw something you never thought was possible, turtles with knee and elbow pads that stood on two legs like humans. It was a little crazy and your eyes widened, but you did not move at all. The turtle with the blue mask popped his head of the door.
"Come on. Get in here, quickly!" the turtle said.
You shook your head out of your trance and hopped into the vehicle. There were three other turtles in the van. A purple masked one at the wheel, an orange masked one at a chair, and a red masked on next to the orange masked one. The blue masked one sat at a computer table with many monitors.
You looked at the small and wisely used space with amazement. You had no clue what to do now that you were in the van.
"Hold onto that pole over there. It is going to be a bumpy ride," the blue masked one said to you.
You nodded to him and grabbed onto the pole with a tight grasp. The van then started to go full speed when the purple masked turtle pulled a lever. You began to ask yourself why you stepped onto the van. Were you desperate? Did you feel kind of safe around these creatures that normally would freak people out when they first laid eyes on them? You had no idea, but what you did know was that you were in this situation now and there was no way you were getting out of it!
"You are (y/n) (l/n), correct?" the purple masked one asked.
Your eyes widened as you then stuttered, "Yes..."
"You were also attacked by the Kraang, correct?"
"If you count that as robots with brains in the stomach, then yes I was attacked by them with my family. My family did not make it out because they did not want the robots to catch me. The family wanted me to leave because the Kraang wanted me. They knew me by name!"
"How would they have known you by name?" the red masked one asked concerned.
"I don't know. I never knew the Kraang existed until now."
"The reason we took you so suddenly (y/n) was that the Kraang had mentioned they were going to get you while we were spying on them. They had a photo of you and everything. That is how we recognize you because we saw the photo before the Kraang heard us because Mikey flipped out."
The red masked one looked towards the orange masked one angrily as the orange masked one said, "Seriously Raph, I think we have all heard enough of that!"
"That's for you to say, Mikey," the blue masked one said, "By the way, I'm Leonardo or Leo. You have met Raphael or Raph and Michelangelo or Mikey. The turtle in the driver seat is Donatello or Donnie. They are all my brothers."
You looked at Leo and smiled before saying, "It's nice to meet all of you. Thanks for helping me out, but I need to ask you guys something. Will my parents be alright?"
Everyone began to frown slightly as it was very silent for a few moments. Then Leo nodded to Donnie and Donnie began to say, "(y/n), I...sadly have to say that...that your parents...are nowhere to...be found. We went to your apartment...and they were not there at all and... there was a note saying that you would...never find them. I'm sorry."
Your eyes brimmed with tears. You never thought any of this could happen. All of the turtles had sad eyes as Donnie kept driving the van, but the sadness only lasted for a moment within the turtles. Your feeling was not similar because you were still sad about abandoning your family like that. They were always so close to you and now, you had no idea if you would ever see them again.
Leo stared at you as you close your eyes while holding onto the handle bar in the van. He felt upset that you had no idea where your only family was. To him, he could relate to you because he thought about what it would be like to be without Master Splinter. Master Splinter was like a father to him and he did not think he or any of his brothers could survive without him there. That was how you felt about your parents.
The rest of the ride with the van was silent. You held in your tears for most of it, but then turned towards the wall of the van and let some of them fall. The turtles understood that you were trying to overcome everything that just happened so they left you alone for a while to weep in peace.
