Drews POV:

My head hurts.

I can hear a steady beeping noise and someone holding my hand.

I tried to open my eyes.

I couldn't.

I tried to move my arms.

I couldn't.

What the fuck is happening?

Panic set in and I wanted to cry, to scream, to ask for help.

I couldn't!

It was like I was awake but had no control.

All I could do was lay here and listen and feel.

I heard the unknown person next to me sigh.

"I am so sorry Drew." Her heavenly voice filled my ears.

"This is my fault." She whimpered.

No! It's not!

I want to hold her!

Wake up! Get up!

"Please be okay." I heard her sniffle then I felt my arm being lifted and her lips were on the back of my hand.

"I'll never let you go again." She cried. "Or I'll leave you alone........ whatever you want." She sniffled "just be okay." She finished in a whisper.

Then my consciousness was gone and it was all dark.

There's the familiar beeping again.

I still can't move.

I still can't speak.

"It's been 2 weeks." The voice I recognized as Dani said to someone else. "When will she wake up?"

"Her brain is not swollen anymore but she needs time to recover. It was a very traumatic thing that happened to her." A female voice spoke. "I don't have a time line for you."

Two weeks? Holy shit.

I felt someone take my hand.

"Wake up Drew" Dani pleaded. "We need you." I could tell he was crying.

Then there was darkness again.

I was actually getting tired of hearing the beeping.

I didn't even try to move after my eyes wouldn't open.

I heard someone shifting next to me.

"Drew?" Came Carlis voice she sounded so far away.

"I don't know if you can hear me..." She paused.

"You need to wake up. I-I know you don't think anyone cares and you have no family but... we are your family... We care. Please wake up and let us take care of you."

My heart broke hearing this.

I want to wake up! I want to be with you! Please! Stupid body! Wake up!

No!

Darkness.
