Asher's POV
Sitting in the meeting room, I had a hard time focusing on anything but Nayeli who was sitting across from me.
My gaze was stuck on her and she had realized it pretty quickly by the way she was giving me a few sidelong glances or trying to hide her embarrassment.
She was adorable.
An amused smile appears on my face and I snap out of my thoughts when Michael calls out to me.
"Are you with us Asher? " He asks me as he stares straight into my eyes.
"Yeah sure, I'm listening."
He smiles amused, knowing full well that it wasn't true and the group resumes their presentation.
Tonight was a sort of party to present the game in more detail, future updates and possibilities so we absolutely had to go and they were talking about the last important details, things to remember.
"Have you already chosen a dress?" I said to the young woman, smiling at her.
She looks at me with a frown, probably surprised that I ask her that all of a sudden.
"Among those proposed? Hm not yet..."
I nod, still smiling
"Let me pick it out for you, I'll bring it to your house when I pick you up."
She smiles back and nods, letting her back rest against the back of her chair.
"Okay, I'll trust you then."
"Don't worry about it, you'll look the best, as always."
I wink at her and by the look of her reaction she likes it more than she wants to let on, which makes me smile more.
"Ok then I think we have it all worked out."
Michael says before standing up. I follow his lead rather quickly and wave to everyone before walking out with him.
I let out a slight laugh as I feel his gaze on me.
"What? Spit it out, I can feel your gaze on me now."
"What was that little game with Nayeli? Is there something going on between you two? Asher you need to tell me so I can have your back. Now is not the time to get into a scandal."
I turn my head toward him, giving him a smile that was meant to be reassuring.
"It's nothing you need to worry about. We're just having fun together."
He nods slowly as he looks at me and we stop in front of the elevator.
"Ok, I hope so, we can't afford a bad buzz right now and you being single makes us a huge amount of money."
