Asher's POV

"Asher please listen to me!"

She follows me into my apartment as I gather her things, giving them to her one by one.

"You know the way back right?"

She stands in front of me to stop me and I sigh a beat, looking her in the eye.

"I thought things were going pretty well between us in bed, what's up with you?"

I look her up and down before I just walk around her and go into the kitchen to pour myself a glass of water.

"I think I deserve an explanation after putting up with all your wildest fantasies." She says in a tone that I absolutely do not like.

"Put up with? You seemed to like it as much as I did, if not more. Sarah, stop your act and go home please, I have better things to do." I answer with a laugh before drinking my glass of water.

She gives me a last look before leaving, slamming the door, knocking over the painting that was hanging next to it.

I grunt and grab my phone, leaning back on my counter. A smile appears on my face when I see a message I've been waiting for.

"Finally, you like to be desired, I see..."

"Are you free tonight? I need help memorizing a lot of technical words. Since this is your world I thought you could help me."

I answer her without waiting, giving her my address so that she can join me at home.

We end up making an appointment at 8pm and I put my phone back with a smile, going to my bathroom.

That left me largely the time to go to see James at the bar.

I undress and enter the cabin, turning on the water. My body relaxes almost instantly under the heat and I completely empty my mind, taking a meaningless but peaceful moment.

Once ready, I grab my bike keys, my helmet and exit the apartment, locking the door.

James' bar was in the center of town in one of the busiest neighborhoods. His customers were young and rich, just what he needed to sell his most expensive liquors.

As I entered the bar, one of the waitresses came directly to me. She made eyes at me and smiled.

I knew who she was, she always did the same thing to me every time I came in.

"Asher...do you want a drink? It's on me..."

"James, where is he?"

"He's busy, spend some time with me while you wait." She says as she moves closer to me, her chest meeting my chest.

I smirk as I look at her and gently lean in, brushing my lips against hers, which made her shiver. My smile grew wider and I brought my lips to her ear.
