I found myself opening my eyes. I was in the hospital. My throat was sore and I couldn't move either of my legs. I looked over to my left and my mom and dad were asleep in the chairs next to my abed. I looked to my right and there's a curtain.
I was trying to wake up my parents but my throat hurt so much I couldn't talk. I didn't know what to do so I just sat there. About an hour later a nurse can in to check on me. She gave me a shot to make me sleepy. I fell asleep again.
When I woke up I was in my bed at home. My throat still hurt but not as much. I looked around and saw a wheel chair in my room. I looked at my legs. I saw them but couldn't feel them.
"Am I paralyzed?" I thought to myself.
I tried to get in the wheel chair. My arm slipped and I fell on the ground. My parents must have herd the thud because two seconds later they're in my room helping me up.
"What happened?" My mom shrieked.
"I just slipped that's all. I'm fine." I answered. "What happened to me? Is everyone ok?"
My parents looked at each other with worry in their eyes.
"We need to tell her" my Dad said.
"I know" my mom answered.
"Sweetie you were badly injured. You're paralyzed from the waist down. Maddie has a broken leg and arm, Dakota has a broken neck and arm, Alyssa has a broken back and neck, and Bobbie she..."
"She what?" I asked determined.
"She didn't make it. I'm so sorry"I feel like I was just punched in the stomach 100 times. Bobbie was one of my best friends. She listened to me, she was always there for me, and she deserved so much better. I can't believe she's gone.
How can this happen?! I sat there in shock.
"This is all my fault!"
