Harry came out of the washroom dressed in the old clothes he brought. His suit was folded up and placed inside his backpack, which he had slung over one shoulder. Louis was standing by the door, bouncing as he waited. He looked Harry up and down in approval, wearing a smile so wide all his teeth were showing. He stepped forward and grabbed Harry's hand with both of his.
"I can't believe I'm finally getting to do this!" He said, his excitement so contagious it caused Harry to laugh out loud.
"I'm really excited too," Harry told him, matching Louis's smile with one of his own. Harry was excited for more than one reason. He had never expected this special activity to be something that would cause him to reminisce and recall a bunch of old memories of his parents ..... his real parents.
The two walked hand in hand, around the corner, to the front desk. The building they were in was the size of a huge warehouse, and the property it was on included a few of the fields that surrounded it. The front desk, was actually a very long counter, that extended from one wall all the way to the other. The entire side was made of clear glass showcasing the different supplies inside that were for sale. Ben and Levi were both standing there chatting with the owner. They were about ten feet apart from each other, both leaning on the counter in a very casual manner. Ben had his lower back press up against it while Levi leaned his whole upper body over his forearms that were propped up on top.
They had been informed by Levi, when they had pulled into the parking lot, that the owner was an A, so neither of them was surprised by the slightly heightened pressure they felt as they walked up to the front. But knowing and being mentally prepared didn't make the pressure and intimidation go away. The closer they got the slower they went, loosing a little bit of pep with each step. Louis was determined, nonetheless and pulled Harry right up to the front of the counter, to stand between both Ben and Levi.
"So are you guys ready?" The owner, a scruffy looking mountain man, asked. Both Lewis and Harry nodded their heads, they were more than ready. "Okay, just wait a minute then." He said before walking along the counter towards a doorway that led into the back. He stood in the threshold and yelled into the opening, "Hey Tony, come out here!"
They heard shattering as something crashed into the ground followed by the sound of sneakers running along the hard floor.
"Kid, you better not have broke anything expensive," the owner said to the scrawny looking teen who walked through the opening.
"It's nothing important, nothing important at all," Tony replied as he tried to catch his breath. He straightened out his clothes and glasses before attempting to flatten his squirrelly light brown hair. "I'll clean it up later, boss, so no need to worry about it!" He said full of confidence, while patting the owner on the arm.
The owner visibly rolled his eyes, before he then gestured toward Louis and Harry while corralling Tony closer to them with his arm.
"Alright boys," he started once they were standing infront of them, "This kid here is Tony, and he's a B. James had requested someone like him help you guys out today." The owner said with one arm over Tony's shoulders while his other hand gently patted the teen on the chest. "He may look young but he's one of the best ballers we have plus he's excellent at training newbies." He then turned to Tony with a heavier look on his face. "They can have and use whatever they like just mark it down for me to deal with after, and remember everything I told you about making sure they have fun and keeping them safe."
"Of course boss," Tony replied, as he saluted the man with a straight face.
The owner nodded at him before turning to look at both Levi and Ben. "I shut the place down for the day for you, so no one will be coming. It should be safe for you to join me in the observation room if your interested. We can watch everything through the security cameras there."
