A week later, Miles, Kilometers and Wright met in Wright's office once again.

"Well, this looks like another successfully completed case," grinned Wright to the brothers. "I've been able to persuade Maya Fey to spiritually channel the truth of what actually happened that night."

He went on. "Last week, My friend Maya got ahold of Yuri soul from the afterlife and by spirit channeling, finally revealed that Adam Levine murdered her. Of course it's inadmissible in court, but then again we don't have anyone to try for the murder after the, ah, unfortunate and untimely deaths of our two main suspects." Here he frowned at the brothers, still miffed at having missed out on the highway chase. " I guess I should note that both Adams were present at the scene of the crime."

Edgeworth spoke up, "Really?"

"Yes, Adam Levine infiltrated the literary club the students had set up by pretending to be Adam Young. With the students still questioning his actual identity, Young was held hostage by Levine and poisoned with sleeping drugs, then stuffed into a closet at the school during the murder. Levine was the witness we originally had, of course, but Levine arranged for anonymity by threatening to destroy Young's social and political life otherwise. Hence, how Monika got jailed instead of the true murderer."

"Anyways," he continued, "We started the paperwork to free her, but it'll take time, as we need the mayor to sign off and we're currently holding an election for one. She has not yet been notified, however."

Unaware of the efforts by the three men to release her from her unjust imprisonment, Monika was still stuck in the cell. She spent her days monologuing about mental health with the numerous guards; the other guards weren't very interested, and Pidge Holt had been transferred to a different prison during the events of the week.

A week after the car crash, Monika received a letter from Miku. Monika was overjoyed to discover Miku loved her back, but sad that it took this long for Miku to realize it. "Oh, to be free of prison and join my love!" Sighed Monika. "I would give almost any price to be freed!" Suddenly she remembered Bill Flowey and how he had granted several other students their deepest desires. She chanted an incantation and, within moments, plant vines filled the room.

Bill Flowey spoke, his voice high pitched and full with vice. "I will free you from this prison dimension, if you give me but a strand of your hair, sweet one."

"Deal!!" Exclaimed Monika eagerly, reaching to her hair. She pulled a few hairs, and handed it to Bill, who nodded sagely.

"I am a plant of my word," he said, and began curling his vines into open space. He squeezed and pulled and tore at the very fabric of reality, face stiff in concentration. Suddenly, with a small "pop!", a portal to her home dimension opened. "Thank you!!" Shouted our young lady, and she dove through without a second thought.

A month later, everything was seemingly back to normal, although Natsuki and Sayori remained missing. Search parties worked for weeks to find them. But in the end, it was a mystery that remained unsolved. When Monika was asked about them, she muttered, "I miss Natsuki dearly, but I don't know who this Sayori person is."

Monika was free. She purchased a plane ticket to Japanforina, and met Miku for the first time in person. (Miku and Monika lived happily ever after, and soon moved to Gravity Falls.)

In the underground cloning labs beneath Owatonna, previously used for cloning Adam Young, Bill Flowey the Cipher Flower slithered between test tubes and bubbling vials. He had used the DNA of Monika's Hair to make a man clone of her using Adam Levine's soul.

In the heart of the lab, within a massive glass vial, Manika, the male clone of Monika, suddenly opened his piercingly green eyes.

The End.

Or is it?
