Snakes.

They coil around him. Tearing skin. Blood. Sharp fangs sink into flesh. Can't speak. Drowning.

"Hanzo..."

"Hanzo!..."

"Hanzo!"

Hanzo gasped, his eyes going wide as he slowly adjusted to his surroundings. He looked up at the figure over him.

"Cole..." He whispered, wiping the tears from his cheeks.

"It's okay. You're okay." Cole pulled him into a hug, comforting him. Hanzo buried himself in the warmth given to him.

"You came for me..." Hanzo mumbled into his chest, pushing him gently to look at him. Cole lay beside him, his hat placed on the desk nearby.

"Took me a while to track you down. You weren't too far from where I was," Cole replied, his hand cupping Hanzo's cheek. Hanzo smiled, holding his hand as he leaned into his touch. Too long had he craved company, to have a shoulder to lean on when he feels vulnerable. He knew he shouldn't trust anyone. But Cole was someone who treated him right. Who knew him like no other.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Cole whispered, his thumb brushing his cheek. Hanzo nodded, as he closed his eyes.

"Genji is not here..." Hanzo felt the tears roll down his cheeks, a few drops at first. Then more came. Cole pulled him into another hug, rubbing his back to comfort him. "It's okay. Let it all out."

"I didn't want to. He was beyond saving. I took out all of the clan's traitors. Killed every single person that tried to kill us. But I failed to save my own brother." Hanzo's breath was hitching, gasping as he clawed at Cole's chest. Cole kissed his head, his hand gently threading through his smooth silky hair. Hanzo buried himself deeper into him, taking in the familiar smell of tobacco and leather. And a hint of sandalwood.

Hanzo felt safe with him. It was something he didn't know he needed. Cole continued to comfort him, listening to every bit he was talking about. He didn't expect to cross paths with Hanzo again. Didn't expect to find him in such a state. But he was glad to have him in his arms again. After their last time together, Cole had missed having company. Had missed holding the raven-haired in his arms. He pulled off his serape and wrapped it around Hanzo, watching the other curl into it.

Cole decided it was better to let him rest before taking him back. Especially after learning about the fall of the clan. He glanced at Hanzo, taking note that he was asleep. "So, it was you."

Cole brushed his hair aside, admiring how peaceful he looked. And then there was the face of fear flashing before his eyes. He had come looking for him. Climbed in through the carelessly opened window. Hanzo was tossing and turning, screaming. Heaving like he couldn't breathe. It had worried Cole, just how bad was the nightmare? And has he ever gotten a good night's sleep before? But being next to him and seeing him sleep peacefully, the worry eased.

"Welcome to Blackwatch." Cole strolled into the base, tipping his hat at anyone he's familiar with. Hanzo stayed close to him, his strides with such professionalism even if he was no longer a kumicho of a fallen clan.

"You joined Blackwatch, which is a part of Overwatch, to go on such missions. And that included coming after me?" Hanzo looked at him, eyebrow raised in question. Cole scratched his neck.

"I was in Hanamura afterall. But there was nothing left of the clan by the time we showed up." Cole shrugged, holding Hanzo by the small of his back. The two walked up to Cole's room but not before bumping into Reyes. "Commander Reyes," Cole smiled.
