Memories and Marathons

*Chad POV*
I decide on taking her back to one of her favorite places.
"Chad where are we going?" she asks
"You'll see we're almost there." I say
I drive a little longer ten finally park the car.
"Where are we?" she asks
"Do you seriously not remember" I ask
"Nope" she says
We walk a little further then I find the bench we sat on the last time we came. I pull it a guitar and hand it to her.
"Do you remember now?" I ask
She nods and starts crying. I wrap her I'm a hug. Once she's done crying she plays our 2014 k-love mash up. We both sing.
"Thank you Chad" she says once we finish the song
"For what?" I ask
"For bringing me back here. I love this place. I forgot how much it relaxes me." She says
"Grace have you been stressed a lot?" I ask
"Yeah. I'm not sure why but I am. I don't know if it's from the mashup we're working on or the song Joey Alan and I are working on or what. I'm just stressed." She says
"Wait you three are working on a song without us?" I ask
"Well we recorded it we just never posted it yet. All Alan is doing is playing the guitar. All we have to do to post it is get permission from Toby Mac. Since we sang me with out you. I guess I'm stressed because I have to do so much bit there's so little time." She says
"Why don't you take a break from band stuff for a week or so and do the more crucial things you need to do like call Toby Mac." I suggest
"Really I can?" she asks
"Of course. I'll let the other two know. And you can tell Joey. He can take one-two days off to spend time with you. To help you relax." I say
She hugs me and just strums the guitar.
"Who's guitar is this?" she asks
"Yours" I say
"No it isn't. Mine is old and off tune" she says
"Yes but this is your new one. It's from all of us guys." I say
She hugs me again. Soon my phone rings. I stand up to answer.
C-hello
J-hey where are you guys at
C-the butterfly garden why
J-just wondering. Why did you go there
C-this is her favorite place. I took her here the day you guys went to see her mom. She's loved it ever since
J-cool just bring her home when you guys are done. I'm going home and to bed cause I'm tired.
C-you okay
J-yay I just didn't get much sleep
C-why
J-cause Grace couldn't sleep so I stayed up with her
C-just take the week off with her. You both need it.
J-thanks man
C-no problem
I hang up and sit back down next to Grace.
"Ready to go?" I ask
"Yeah" she says
"Grace do you get most stressed out at night?" I ask
"Yeah why" she says
"Well I was talking to Joey and he said he was going to bed. I asked if he was alright and he just says he stays up with you when you can't fall asleep" I say
"Oh I feel bad. Chad can I sleep at your house tonight? I want Joey to have at least one good night sleep" I say
"I would say yes but sorry. Fallon and I have to go somewhere at 3 in the morning and I don't want to wake you." I say
"Ok" she says
We go to the car and I drive her home. She goes inside and then I drive home.
*Grace POV*
I don't want to wake Joe up so I go to a spare bedroom. I fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow but I know I won't sleep very long.
*Joey POV*
I wake up the next morning at 7 and roll over to find Grace not there. I go to the bathroom and she's not there either. I then see a bedroom door closed. I open it and see Grace sound asleep. I go in and sit next to her.
"Morning" she mumbles
"Good morning. Why didn't you come to bed last night?" I ask kissing her
"I didn't want to wake you. I also wanted you to sleep well" she says
"Grace I don't care if I stay up all night. As long as I'm with you I'm good to go" I say
She laughs then gets up out of bed. I follow her downstairs. I make breakfast and we eat in silence.
"Grace is everything alright?" I ask
"Stressed Joe that's all" she says
"Okay why don't we watch a movie" I say
"Ok we should do a high school musical marathon" she says
"Okay" I say
We head to the living room. I put in the first one and sit next to her on the couch. She leans her head on my chest and I kiss her forehead. We watch all three of them then I decide to put frozen in. By the end of our tenth movie were both sound asleep.
