oh, mickey you so fine!
•••as the two siblings had ridden their ilu's back to shore and detaching their queues as they push themselves off, they arise from the shallow water with the feelings of eyes focused on them.
aonung scans amongst his people, only now noticing how there were children playing about on the other side of where he previously was.
"i acted out like a child. i'm so sorry." he whispers to his sister, ears folded back in embarrassment whilst walking back to the group.
"don't be, ao' , at least now you know what those feelings you have are"
she wriggles her brows, subtly nudging at her brother as they both notice the forest na'vi's eyes glued on them.aonung's shy grin quickly drops as the eye contact between him and detir'i stiffens, realigning his posture, truly on heavy guard.
he notices as detir'i glides the tip of his fingers along the line of neteyam's spine, visibly noticing how uncomfortable the forest na'vi had become.
aonung knew he couldn't do anything.
neteyam isn't his anyway.he has no right to push detir'i, or even put him on the verge of death just for touching another na'vi.
detir'i does not leave the eye contact despite how close the siblings have gotten to the group.
as the two submerges within the mix of clans, his nemesis does not leave his eyes, following him like a hawk who's about to pounce on its prey.wipe that grin off that skxawng face of yours was what tsireya had visioned her brother saying as a scowl hardens on aonung.
however, tsireya knew she had to cut away the heavy tension.
"aonung and i must attend our daily huntings as of our father's request." she forces a smile, interlacing her fingers together and eyeing aonung, hoping he'd get the message."yes. i will see you lot around." his eyes never flicker as he starts to walk away from his sister.
"have fun hunting, dear tsireya" detir'i grins, tsireya nodding and waving before quickly catching up to aonung.
"did something happen to aonung?" neteyam questions, calmly running his palm against tuk's back as her heads leaned on his shoulder, slumber taken over her.
"he's fine. he's just fine." neteyam notices how detir'i's demeanour had shifted only to see his jaw clenched and fingers tightened in a ball form.
"anyway.. i should put tuk into bed. i'll be back."
neteyam carefully stands, making sure she doesn't wake in his arms.
"do you need help?" detir'i's eyes which were towards where the siblings walked off to, made its way to neteyam's as he quickly stood up."nah, i'll be fine" he chuckles before walking off as detir'i's smile chases after the boy.
now, it's just detir'i, maui'i, kiri, rotxo and lo'ak.
"so..." lo'ak taps his two pointers together.
"soo..." kiri looks towards lo'ak, fidgeting with the necklace her biological mother had given."there isn't much happening today. it's all helping with other villagers, hunting and enjoying this beautiful day" maui'i stretches her arms out, showcasing the shore with a wide smile.
•
neteyam cautiously walks into his and his family's marui, placing his baby sister under the covers and slowly caressing her head.
where is mother and father ..? he thought, thinking back to how he doesn't usually see them around only at night time where everyone's getting ready to sleep.
mindlessly, neteyam makes his way through the opening of the pod, stepping out and inhaling the crisp air of awa'atlu and its salty seas eywa had gifted.
"neteyam?" his ears perk up, looking at where a familiar voice calls.
"tsireya? aren't you two going to a hunt?" tsireya shakes her head before leaving a stunned aonung as he clicks his tongue in annoyance."wha.." he murmurs under his breath, confused.
before neteyam could say anything, aonung had already began walking away, swaying his tail.
"aonung." he jogs beside aonung, following him.
"what's wrong? your parents still bothering you about a mate?"
neteyam was truly worried for him despite how he felt when he first saw him. the day his family came here to seek refuge.however, the water na'vi shakes his head, eyes not leaving his feet.
"no. i do not care of such." his voice stern, still walking to who knows where.
even with that, neteyam still follows aimlessly.neteyam knew he obviously cares about what his parents expect of him. who wouldn't when it's thee tsahik and olo'eyktan.
"must you follow the heir? leave me be." his charisma was definitely out of the world and neteyam knew that.
"of course, can't get lost at sea you know." neteyam blows a laugh through his nose at the lame joke, only to receive an eye roll."c'mon big guy, share your friend your worries." neteyam lightly pushes the boy, determined to know what's going on.
"aonung~" he sing-songs.
"water boy" he taunts, having a wide grin plastered across his face.
"water monkey"
"what a skxawng ass" neteyam rolls his eyes.neteyam continues to taunt the boy some more which to aonung, lasted far too long, initiating his blood to boil.
aonung stops in his tracks and faces the forest na'vi, eyes tenses up.
"detir'i! he's the cause for my anger! where i had to remove myself from the proximity of him." he grits his teeth, observing a stunned neteyam.he clicks his tongue, turning his head and changing directions towards the shorelines.
"what?" neteyam stays for a second before running after aonung."wait! what did he do?"
neteyam eyes the back of a still aonung, hair slowly swaying with the cool wind force.
"do you really want me to explain what that devil did? what he decided was a good idea to do?"
his eyes not leaving the shallow waters, feet touching the water and aonung finds himself placing himself within the sea, trying to calm."yes. that's why i was bugging you, genius." the forest na'vi rolls his eyes, heading beside him.
he must love sitting around, we tend to having conversations like this, neteyam thought, chuckling to himself.
