silence of comfort rush through the pair as their souls collide between the mixture of yellow and blue eyes.
"neteyam.." aonung couldn't help but smile at the awoken boy who's sat in front of him.
his tail sways gracefully behind him, resulting in a giggle from neteyam.

"i was so worried you would never wake up." his fingers wrapped around the weak boy's hands, squeezing it in making sure the touch lasts.

neytiri looks around, making sure neteyam had everything he needed. water, food and comfort as she practically drags jake away from the two boys with lips curled up, leaving the pod.

both of the eldest sons looks towards them weirdly, laughing about their odd behaviour.

aonung faces back around, eyeing neteyam's beat up body.
"does it still hurt?" he slightly runs his fingers down the visible scars.
neteyam shakes his head, looking down at aonung's tracing fingers.
"it's going to leave one hell of a scar though." neteyam chuckles, noticing how focused he is.

"not one but many.." aonung's ears fold, imagining how painful it would've been for him.
"especially the scar across my face. it hurt like a bitch that's all i'm going to say."
aonung's eyes then avert to the large scar neteyam was referring to, cupping his cheek and lightly caressing the thick scar.

"does it ruin my face..?" neteyam's ears twitch but to his favour, aonung promptly shakes his head, smile widening.
"truly.. you will look more like a warrior."
"a fine warrior might i add" aonung grins at how neteyam had become a flustering mess, trying his best to hold back a smile and eyes averting south.

"your muscles must be sore from all the rest. mind joining me on a hunt by the rock?" aonung removes his hands from neteyam's cheeks, seeing neteyam nodding before propping himself onto his feet before reaching his hand out.

"be careful." neteyam stumbles as he stands up so aonung's free hand holds onto his waist.
"you alright?" aonung looks at his feet, standing beside the boy and hand switching to his back.

"yes, just going to take awhile to get used to walking again" he chuckles whilst looking down at both of his feet, taking small steps forward.

"that's alright. i'll be your babysitter." he quietly laughs, receiving a light smack on the stomach from the back of neteyam's hand.

aonung leads neteyam out the pod, seeing the forest boy taking a deep breath with his eyes closed and lips curled up.
"i will never get used to how fresh the air is."

aonung hums at his comment while looking out onto the shore and seeing kids running around, per usual.
"let's go to the rock."
neteyam nods as aonung begins on his walk, leading him slowly.

"there will be a feast for our brothers and sisters." aonung starts.
"brothers and sisters..?"
neteyam focuses on his steps onto the sand, the ductile powder between his toes creates some sort of warmth inside his chest.
"yes. our spirit sisters and brothers — tulkuns"
"do you have a spirit brother?"

aonung doesn't respond, scrunching his brows together.
"no."
neteyam looks at aonung with a sorry expression.
"i'm sorry-"
"don't be. he just.. he got attacked by creatures. creatures far larger than his proportion was. he got killed when he was still little."

"his name was al'tis."

neteyam wasn't sure how to make him feel even a little better but what he knew was that al'tis is probably living his best life, swimming endlessly in the seas with eywa.

as they walk closer to the shallow waters, aonung calls out to his ilu who had quickly summoned above the waters.
"c'mon, hop on."
aonung connects their queues together before pulling neteyam behind him, holding onto his waist with his free hand and diving in.

they quickly arrive at the rock where aonung had previously left his belongings and fled to neteyam.
without a word exchanged, aonung hops onto the rock before pulling neteyam onto the surface.
"there ya go" he whispers, taking a seat beside his nets.

"woah.. that's a lot of cod" neteyam takes a seat beside him while his eyes had been glued to the filled sack of fish behind them.

"yeah, we usually don't hunt on this side but still, it's very much." he smiles, spreading his net across the water.

neteyam watches closely at the metkayina boy as his skin glistens under the harsh rays, perfectly enhancing the light blue and patterns all over his body. he couldn't help but have the want to touch his skin.

his exposed back was what pulls onto his eyes every time neteyam looks at aonung.
without thinking, his fingers land on his back.
aonung flinches, moving away with a terrified look spread across his demeanour.
"ah- i'm sorry, didn't been to frighten you."
neteyam mentally curses at himself.

"no, it's okay. just startled me."
aonung clears his throat, fidgeting in his seat before putting all focus back to his net.

"what did you do to my brother, detir'i." tsireya puts on a defensive stance, scowling at him.

"they all saw the best part where he landed a real good hit on you" she smirks, proud of her brother for finally landing a punch on his ass.

"and that's all to it. your brother who's known as the best warrior, decided to attack his own!" he dramatically points towards his chest.

tsireya shuts her eyes, taking a deep breath in self control before she does something she will most probably regret later.

"my brother does not attack unprovoked."
"you clearly provoked him into hitting you."
detir'i scoffs, looking away.

"i'm telling you short stuff, i didn't do shit to your skxawng ass of a brother."
"now, if you'll excuse-"
a fist collides with his jaw once again.
he turns back around, holding onto his jaw and stretching it.

"both of you are crazy."
tsireya laughs, eyes not daring to leave detir'i's.
"oh, you want to see crazy?"
without a second thought tsireya runs up to him, jumping onto his shoulders and pushing her teeth through the thick skin, receiving a yell from him.

"let go you crazy fucker!" he wraps his arm around her waist trying to fend her off but without any success, she grips onto his long braid, practically squeezing it.

his whole body twitches through endless screams and hisses before tsireya jumps down from him, only to see his body fumble onto the sand.

"you... will pay for this.." detir'i weakly looks up at her, eyes watery and gritting his teeth in severe pain up his spinal cord and pain spreading across his neck up to his head.

tsireya huffs, rolling her eyes and leaning down to his eye level.
"you do know that disgusting actions will always have consequences, right dumbass? — this is your so-called consequence." she whispers with a grin before walking off, dusting her hands.

"karma's a bitch! remember that!" tsireya yells out without looking back.
detir'i slowly lifts his head higher only to see tsireya disappear behind the row of maruis.
