"How could he?" I ask Niall as he holds me in the back of the truck. "He was dying, Bunny." He says and I look up at him with red eyes. "He still had a while." I mumble and Niall looks at me with sad eyes. "Bunny, he didn't." He replies with a soft voice and I look at him in confusion. "What do you mean?" I ask, pulling away a bit. "The other day after a gig, we were on the way to the bus and we were laughing about something that happened on stage when Liam suddenly just stopped. We all looked at him in confusion but then his eyes went wide and he just collapsed." He explains while I look at him in shock and confusion. "We called an ambulance and he was rushed to hospital. When we got there after they ran tests, they found that his body stopped producing what his body was supposed to produce to keep his organs functioning. It was only a matter of time." I shake my head with tears gathering in my eyes.
"No." I mumble repeatedly as Niall holds me. "It's okay, Bunny." He whispers and I pull away, staring at him. "No it's not. The bomb was supposed to blow up the building and everyone was supposed to die while all of us got away. Liam wasn't supposed to die. He couldn't slow them all down, it wasn't the right choice. He shouldn't have done that. He was supposed to live longer." I cry, falling into his arms once again. Niall hugs me, rubbing my back as my cries fill the air.
"We're gonna be okay, Bunny. Liam's death did give us a small advantage and he knew that was gonna happen and he still chose us over everything else." He mumbles, kissing my head and I nod. "He didn't even get to meet her." I whisper, my hand rubbing my stomach. "At least we know she has a guardian angel now." He says and I look up at him with a small smile.
"When did you get rid of your whole bad boy demeanour?" I ask with a small smirk as I run my fingers through his hair. "Since this incredibly annoying little bunny hopped into my life." He says, pinching my side. "Mmm the bunny thinks you're a dick." I say, leaning onto him more.
"The bunny seems to like me very much." He says with a smirk, referring to our closeness. "Maybe it's all an act." I say with a shocked expression. "No!" He whisper yells with a shocked expression. "I heard she's from a rival mafia." I whisper and he shakes his head with wide eyes. "That can't be true." He mumbles, looking down at his hands. "I'll protect you." I whisper, grabbing his head and pulling it into my lap. He bursts out in laughter as I cradle his head.
"Shush we can't have her know you're here." I whisper, covering his mouth. He shakes his head, looking at me with watery eyes. "Ew!" I yell, pulling my hand away as he licks it. "That's not what you said last time I licked your hand." He says, smirking at me. "You are disgusting." I mumble, pushing him away from me.
"What?" I ask as he continues to stare at me. "You're the most beautiful creation I've ever seen." He smiles, pushing a strand of hair out of my face. "Firstly, that was very stupidly cliche." I say pushing his hand away. "Secondly, I'm like almost 9 months pregnant and haven't showered in probably a week." I say, rolling my eyes at him. "Doesn't make you any less beautiful." He says and I scoff, moving to his side. "Shut up." I mumble, laying on him.
"Bunny?" He says, moving his hand up and down my back. "Mmm." I hum in response. "Why did you change your mind?" He asks and I look up at him in confusion. "About what?" I ask as he looks at me. "About us. Why didn't you just ruin everything and get what you want?" I smile and lean up to trace his features. "I wanted to, but you were worth so much more." He stares at me with an unreadable expression.

I've been debating whether or not to post the rest of the story due to the circumstances but recently, I've found comfort in returning to fanfics. I've had these chapters written for a long time and never got around to posting them. I think finishing this story is helping heal the parts of me that were broken lately.
Here's the rest of Deception, with lots of love. Xx
