November 7th, Adrian and Markus were currently within a graveyard as it rained hard.

The two were underneath a black umbrella.

"So how was your day?" Adrian asked as he shifted on the red and white towels they were sitting on.

"Oh... Uh..." Markus muttered.

"Hm?" Adrian asked further. "What's wrong?"

"I got... Jumped." Markus answered.

Adrian then sat up a little, looking into the man's eyes before saying, "Tell me the full story."

"Alright... If you must know, which I don't know why you'd wanna know-"

"I love drama." Adrian interrupted.

"I was walking by Nutmeg Street and that girl you told to fuck off that one day jumped me with her friends." Markus answered.

"Why'd she do that?... Why did she even approach us in the first place?" Adrian asked.

"They think I'm not black enough... I first tried hanging out with them when I met them. This isn't exactly the first time this happened. Black and white people sometimes seem to think that if you're half, then you're not really worthy of being with them." Markus answered, he sighed and laid down on his back. "Sometimes you're just put on a pedestal... Or a pyramid... If you're not one hundred percent of a race, then you shouldn't be allowed to say certain things that belong to one half of your culture... It can really fucking suck being mixed. You feel worthless sometimes..."

Adrian then had a slight frown before laying down beside the man.

"Not only that... But there are just some people with fucked up views, thinking that races shouldn't mix in marriage and that interracial marriage is a bad thing when it's literally one of the most beautiful things..." Markus said before turning to look at Adrian.

"Y'know... Humans and vampires have this thing in common, too... Sort of. The elder vampires think badly of vampires and humans getting married and having children... They call us dhampirs." Adrian told the man. He then let out a soft sigh before continuing with, "I used to always feel lonely... Dhampirs in my city were... Very rare to say the least. I tried hanging out with a few vampires every single day. They never treated me like I was a vampire. They treated me like worthless shit." The dhampir then sat up, Markus did as well.

"Sorry to hear that..." Markus replied.

"It's fine. I don't blame the actual vampires of the city, I blame the asshole elders. They make everything worse for dhampirs." Adrian said.

"I have never told anyone this before, but my uncle was livid when he found out I was born." Markus told him, starting to tear up a little. "He got so mad at my dad when he saw him with a white lady... My poor dad tried to shield me from his abuse for years, my uncle constantly made me feel horrible... Calling me ugly, saying I could have been beautiful if only my dad married another black woman. The rest of my family is beautiful except for me... I didn't win the genetic lottery whatsoever... Some fucking asshole in the sky decided I wasn't worth it I guess... I can't exactly find a single person who loves me."

Adrian then looked a little sorry, he lifted Markus' head up, putting a hand underneath his chin before looking the man in the eyes and telling him, "I love you..."
