Chapter 2

we have finally reached New York I'm so excited to meet a camp of people just like me I always knew I was different but I do miss my dad.

All of a sudden smoke started coming from my dads old truck. we were all about 5 miles out of Albany and the truck broke down. Melody screamed as the truck caught Fire we all got out and away from the truck as Grover put the fire out. he said "what happened to it" "here let me take a look at it looks like the ignition broke" jake said "Well then let's get to walking" Grover answered.we should stay here it will get dark soon least here we can stay by the road in case someone drives by "I said "sure sounds good and you can sleep in the truck see you don't have to get dirty" said Jake "oh my gosh thank you so much come on see what's in the truck ready" Melody said. "no thanks man I'd rather sleep out here okay" I said" okay" she said. "How come you want to sleep out here" asked Jake. "Because I'm comfortable out here" I said "nice you like the outdoors" question Grover. "I love it out here" I say. "Hey Jake can you and - oh sorry I don't know your name but could you get some firewood" "yeah sure" "okay"they responded.

Me and Jake went walking in the forest to look for some good firewood. "So" he said "I don't think I ever got your name". "Oh that's right my name's Courtney, Courtney Anders". I said. "That's a really pretty named Courtney" Jake said "thanks" I respond. All of a sudden we heard whimpers "what's that" I asked "Woo I don't know but let's find out" he said.

We walked a little further and heard it again. "Their" I said. (It was in the bush). We went up to the bush and parted all the leaves away. Bush held two wolf pups. Theirs was a silvery gray color the other a golden blonde. The two had moved when they heard voices. From in the thicker woods came two men carrying a dead wolf on their shoulders. "Hey what are you guys doing here - oh never mind that have you guys seen to wolf pups come through here hello" the men asked. They must be looking to kill them like they killed their mother I thought. "No I have not seen any wolf pups out at all" I answered. "Oh" them and say "well aguess I will leave you two alone then". They left. "Why did you lie to them" Jake asked. "Did you see the wolf they had on their backs it was the pups mother they were going to kill them". "I didn't think of that" he said. "They must be brother and sister" "I said. Then he leaned down and talk to pups "hey it will be alright we won't hurt you. You could come with us" "really can we" i heard. "Who said that" i answered. "We did" "you heard and look at the pups "it was you, you can talk". "Only to you the can't hear us " said the Golden pup. (Jake started giving me a strange look) "what" I asked, "who are you talking to" Jake asked "the pups" I answered back. "What no way not possible" "it's true I'm being serious" I told him. "Let's head back I'm pretty sure Grover and Melody would be worried about us right now" "okay" I said. "Come on" I said to the I wolf pups "you can come with us to our friends".

Hey where "hey where you guys been" asked Grover "while in the woods we found something that distracted us" Jake said."What" Grover said "you'll see" I said "Grover I like you to prove something to Jake for me" I continued. "Sure I can't - I'm sorry I still don't know your name" "it's okay my name is Courtney, Courtney Anders". "Listed" Grover told me "thank you Grover " I said. Now about the distraction Jake told you about in the woods we found two wolf pups that their mother had been killed by some poachers. Here they are"I said as I showed them to Grover. "Okay so what is it you want me to prove to Jake" Grover asked. "I would like you to prove to Jake that I can understand the wolf pups" "what" Grover and Melody screamed. "It's true" I told them "please Grover help me you can understand the wolves because you're a sayter so talk with the wolves and have them tell you something and if I can tell you it as well then you'll know the truth okay" "yeah sure I'll help you Courtney" Grover said "thanks" I answered. Then I heard the who wore pups tell Grover that sheet that I really could understand them. "Okay" Grovers said "now you tell me what they said" "okay, they told you that I really can understand them". "That's so cool" melody told me "thanks it really is special" I answered to her.

On the campfire was going and the others were boys were talking while Melody tried to sleep the track I talked to two pups. The silver gray one told me her name well that she didn't havea name and neither did her brother they were still really young. "Could I give you as your name what do you like that" I asked the two pups "yes we would love that" they said together. "Okay well little lady over here reminds me of the silver moon so I'll name you Luna and you mister Goldie you are really brave like a bear so that's what I'll name you bear, well do you guys like your new names". "Just wonderful" said the now named Luna and bear "thank you". You guys are welcome" I told them "would you guys like to stay with me and we can be a family together". "Yes we would love to". Then we all went to sleep with smiles on our faces.
