Zeti didn't know how long they had been in the underwater cave. He just hoped that Tuk would be strong enough to hold her breath long enough to get to the top.
He looked at his sister to see her with her eyes closed, she was still sleeping from what happened yesterday.
He couldn't blame her, he got her into this mess by following his brother. Because of what he did, they didn't know how to get back home.
He failed as an older brother, he should have taken her home instead of bringing her out. What kind of brother was he to do that?
What would his father think of him for putting his baby sister in danger. He was supposed to set an example to his siblings as the older brother.
"Zeti." He turned to see that his sister was slowly waking up. He frowned at her as she got up to look at him. Tuk could see that he didn't get any rest at all since they had been here.
She knew that he was watching her, in case something happened or if some other creatures found them. He wanted to make sure that she was okay.
She didn't like that one bit, she wanted her brother to get the amount of rest that he deserve. He was always taken care of everyone else, but no one bothered to take care of him.
"What happened?" She asked him, the event was kinda blurry to her, he didn't blame her. She almost drowned, of course she would have some memory loss.
"We were attacked by a creature yesterday, don't worry. We are safe......for now." He assured her and she nodded at him. She laid down on his chest, feeling safe there, and she closed her eyes once again.
"I miss everyone." She told him and he frowned before looking at her." I miss them too. Don't worry, we will be with them soon. We just need to be brave and stay calm, like what mom said, okay?" He asked and she nodded.
"Please get some rest, Zeti. Please, it hurts seeing you hurt." She told him and he slightly chuckled at her. Did she forget who the older sibling was?
"I will be fine, Tuk. It's you who needs to rest." He said as she shook her head in disbelief." No. You need rest to, we need to make it out of here, alive, together." She said as she continue laying back on his chest.
Zeti looked at her before holding her close as they soon laid in silence. Zeti watched the fishes swim around the water, near the cave. He could see the sun reflecting off of the water.
It wasn't much, but it was enough for him to know that it was no longer night time. He closed his own eyes as he heard his sister's quiet snoring.
At least someone was getting rest, he needed to make sure they were both safe. He hopes that someone, anyone would find them before something else decides to show up.
