"I'm sorry."

"Honestly I'm just glad you're here and not in the ground, son." Shōta commented as he rubbed his crying husband.

"Why didn't you come to me?" Hitoshi asked, and as his father his voice was hoarse.

"You don't get it."

"How would I not get it?" He asked sounding a little agitated.

"Because you don't."

"Explain to me how?!"

"Hitoshi-" Shōta started but was interrupted by his other son.

"Because you weren't abandoned!!" Izuku yelled as the door opened once again.

"Hello there, am I interrupting?" The man asked as he popped his head in.

"No doc, just some family banter. What can we do for you?"

"I was told you wanted to speak with me?"

"Oh, right, I had a question about Izuku's anemia."

"Oh okay?"

"So, given his condition is it possible to pass out for over a week and have no recollection?"

"Well, it's hard to say. Given the blood loss, his anemia and blunt trauma, it is possible to become unconscious but for over a week it would be a miracle that he's even laying down talking. His anemia makes his body weak due to the lack of red blood cells, and with any type of blood loss makes it dangerous for him. Even if it was the size of a blood bag he would most likely pass out. So if he was unconscious for over a week, which I'm presuming he was, we would have to run some tests, make sure we didn't miss anything."

"I see, well he told us that he wasn't gone for two weeks only about three days. That on his way home the second day, he was jumped."

"I see, then I'll have a nurse take some blood and then get a C.T."

"Okay, thank you"

"Of course." And the doctor stepped out of the room.

"Hitoshi take pops and Eri for a walk I'm going to talk to Izu."

"But-"

"Go." Shōta practically growled at his son.

Hitoshi stood up grabbed Eric's hand and walked out after Hizashi.

"Izuku-"

"No, I don't want to talk about it. I get it, okay? Maybe I should've said something but none of you would understand plus at the time I was still so mad at you and pops. You lied to me for fifteen years you lied. How could I go to any of you?"

"I know me and your dad messed up when it came to you. We never meant to lie to you but we did.we were just so happy to have you that we forgot that you weren't ours, biologically anyways, but that's not what I was going to say. ... I was going to tell you to show me where you cut yourself."

"Why?"

"Just do it please."

So Izuku picked both his hands up and showed his wrists to his father. Shōta stared for a minute before he gently grabbed one wrist and started to trace his thumb over the deep scars. When Shōta looked up Izuku could see the big tears in his fathers eyes. Shōta took his jacket off then his long sleeve. He showed Izuku his arms that were littered in scars from his shoulders down. Small scars, big scars, jagged ones, long ones, all sorts of them. Izuku stared at his father, unsure of what to say or do.

"As a kid, we'll teen, I realized that I didn't like girls and my parents... my parents were very anti anything, really. I struggled with thinking that I was unworthy of being alive and accepting who I was. Until, ... I met you dad. ~sniff~ he showed me that it's okay to be who you are, and every person deserves to live. He was the first person I told I was gay. One day in my second year, I decided to come out to my parents. They obviously didn't take it well. The next day I didn't got to school and your dad came to check on me and he found me passed out in the tub. I like you, I was intoxicated, I had cuts all over my arms, soaked in my own blood. He called the cops just in time, because if it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be sitting here having this conversation with you. I'm telling this because though our situations were different I can sort of understand you're pain Izu. After that day my parents kicked me out and I went to live with your dad and his family."

"Is that why we've never seen your parents?"

"No, my mom died of a heart attack nineteen years ago and my father killed himself a year after they kicked me out."

"I didn't know."

"A part of me never wanted you too. When we got you, I never wanted you to listen to my past. I was afraid that you would think the same things I did."

"We'll not those thoughts exactly."

"Izuku, do you know why we decided to adopt you?"

"I thought I was given to you adoption stuff all ready done?"

"No, we got you they day you were born yes, but it took us a year to adopt you. They even took you from us for two weeks because our new paperwork hadn't come in yet."

"Dang."

"But we adopted you because we love with all of our hearts and we love your brother and sister with all of our hearts. In our minds you are no one else's children, you're ours. You deserve to live, and you are loved, even if a part of you doesn't believe me, you need to hear it... because i honestly don't know what I would do if I ever got a phone call saying you weren't ever coming home." Shōta had started to cry all over again just at the thought of Izuku being gone.

"Dad it was two years ago I'm better now."

"You and I both know it's not that simple. And so what if it was two years ago what about now? You knew about your condition and how serious it is and you didn't say anything. It just sounds like another death wish kid."

"I didn't want to worry anyone, I want to be better. I wanted to find my birth parents and get at least one of them to give me the marrow."

"And what if they don't?"

"Then the possibility of me dying is higher and the likelihood of finding a match that's good enough we're I won't have to get this procedure done again isn't that great. My only hope is to get marrow from my bio parents. Dad is there any information about-"

"No."

"Not even-"

"No. There's nothing." Though Shōta was very believing Izuku was still a bit wary, but he just figured that his dad didn't want to dig anything up.

"Okay, when can I go home?" Izuku asked trying to change the subject.

"Not for a while and in wanting to change the subject, why was Katsuki Bakugo leaving this room in tears?"

"That- that's my fault."

"Well, obviously but why? What did you say to him?"

"I may have said something along the lines that he's using me to get on your good side."

"Now why would you say that to him?"

"I don't know, it weirds me out that he wants to help so much and he's always near me. Especially after you all found out that I'm sick."

"Well, did you ever think that he just cares for you and wants to make sure you're okay?"

"Yeah, but it just didn't seem likely."

"You know Kaminari has been giving him attitude saying it was his fault you left."

"That's not true though."

"I know, so does Kaminari, he just needed someone to blame, but from the sounds of it, he cares for you. I mean, he wouldn't be here if he didn't even after what he's been told by Kami."

"Here? He's still here?" Izuku asked as he sat up looking out the hallway window to see if the blonde was there,

"As far as I know, I saw him in the waiting area when I went out there. Do you want to talk to him?" Shōta asked as he pointed at the door, suggesting that he would go get the blonde.

"Y- yeah."
