It's been a week since y/n and shikoku moved to salt middle school. Mob, y/n, and maybe Shikoku grew close together. Y/n and mob were in the same class and Shikoku was in a separate classroom next to them.
Right now, Y/n and mob dropped Shikoku off his class and are now heading towards theirs. "Where should we eat for lunch?" Y/n said as she stood close to mob, who had a smile on his face. "I'm thinking about eating outside, but some ball might hit you again," Mob recalled the memory and couldn't help but frown. 'I was there, but I didn't catch the ball on time. If only I was athletic enough.' He sulked. Y/n didn't fail to notice it as she wrapped her arms around his and smiled at him. "Don't worry, Kageyama-san. I won't get hit again!" She reassured the timid boy, who blushed at her actions.
"O-of course! I'll- put a barrier around y-you this time!" He said nervously, but he still tried to keep his composure. Y/n looked at him, confused. "Barrier? What's that?" She asked. Mob looked at her with a surprised look on his face as he stopped walking, and she followed his actions. They both stared at each other in silence before mob spoke. "Y-You don't know about psychic powers?..." Y/n shook her head. "Are you in some type of cult?" She questioned. Mob was confused too since he did use his telekinesis on her the day they met. "But... I thought you knew since your brother has one too?" "Has what?" Y/n was growing more confused by each second. "You don't know that he's an esper?" "He's a what?"
"I'm a what?" The two teenagers flinched when they heard a voice behind them and turned to see the person.
Shikoku.
He had a dark aura surrounding him as he glared at mob, a shadow covering his face. Mob shivered. "Y/n-san, what else did he tell you?" Shikoku put a confused y/n behind him as he continued to glare down at the poor boy.
"Shikoku! It's rude to stare down at people. Stop it before I ground you! And why aren't you in your class?!" Y/n hit the boy on the head, making him yelp. She then looked at mob, who still held a terrified face. She took a step closer to him and smiled apologetically.
"Sorry. Shikoku hates it when I'm talking to someone about...whatever we were talking about..." She whispered so the albino wouldn't hear. Mob looked at her in surprise before at Shikoku, who was still rubbing his head. 'So, he's trying to keep ESP a secret?' He pondered. Shikoku seemed to have noticed his stare as his expression changed drastically from being in pain to being enraged. "What are you looking at, idiot?" He growled but closed his mouth shut when y/n suddenly gave him a warning stare.

Class ended quickly and it was now lunchtime. Mob, Shikoku, and y/n were walking toward the cafeteria to buy snacks and drinks. "Man, the quiz was really hard. Maybe it's because it's a math quiz." "Hm? I thought it was pretty easy. Though, I'm not quite positive if I got all of them correct." Y/n looked at mob while they talked. Shikoku held onto her arms tightly as he had a distressed expression on his face.
'I need to find a way to get this dude away from us somehow...' Shikoku thought before he gave mob a side glance. Mob ignored it and continued to look at y/n. "You are quite smart after all. I don't get why you got in my class instead of my brother's." He said, smiling at her. Y/n gave him a shocked 'huh?' as she put her hands on her mouth. "You have a brother?" She gasped. Shikoku's face grew even more distressed when he heard the question. 'More of him?! God dammit!' He yelled internally. Mob nodded.
"Un- he's very cool and popular around here. He's also very smart! His name is ritsu." He spoke so proudly of his brother but not himself. It made y/n feel sad in some type of way. He was proud of his brother's achievement and doesn't get jealous at all and yet he can't even compliment himself.
Mob and Shikoku noticed her saddened figure, mob stopped talking and Shikoku stopped overthinking. They both looked at the girl in worry. "Did I say something wrong?" "Hell yeah, you did. Why would y/n-san get sad anyways?!"
Y/n snapped out of it when she heard their voices. She looked around and noticed that they had stopped walking. "O-Oh! Sorry. I'm just really hungry and couldn't help but zone out!" She lied. Shikoku nodded, not sure if he should use it on you or not.
Mob checked the time on the clock stuck in the hallway wall and noticed that they only have 10 minutes left to eat. "Oh! It's almost time for class and we still haven't eaten yet." Mob said, making the two look at him in panic. "Well, what are we waiting for?! Let's go!" Y/n shouted as she pulled the boys towards the cafeteria.

"My stomach hurts... I ate so many onigiris because I was rushing so much... Kageyama-san, can you come with me to the nurse's office?" She tapped the boy next to her as she crouched on her table.
Mob stared at her worriedly before nodding and turning to face the teacher and raising his hand. "Yes, mob?" The teacher asked. Everyone turned to mob, making him anxious. He stood up and looked at the teacher, who stared at him in confusion. "U-Uhm... Y/n is not feeling well today and wants to go to the nurse's office." He answered as he heard y/n groan beside him.
The teacher nodded and mob instantly put her arm around his shoulders and she held her stomach with her other hand. They both walked with y/n's head hung low and the teacher opened the door for them. "Ah, I feel like I'm about to puke." She sobbed. Mob walked faster but made sure that y/n can keep up with his speed too. He can see the sign to the office nearing him and he sighed in relief. "We're here, y/n-san." Mob opened the door to the nurse's office and walked over to the empty beds before gently laying her down. He then took a blanket and put it around her. After that, he took a chair and sat next to her.
Y/n stared at the boy before smiling. "Thank you, Kageyama-san... I don't know what I would do without you." Mob blushed at y/n's comment. "Y-Yeah..." He only muttered in response. It was quiet.
He didn't know what he was feeling. He felt more giddy and nervous around the girl lately. Mob was familiar with this feeling. 'It's like what I feel when I'm with tsubomi-chan... '
