CHAPTER THREE

They walk over to the shed, Tyler lets go of Y/N hand checking to see if the shed door was locked

"It's locked all right" Tyler says turning to Alyson and Y/N before jogging to the side window of the shed and looking in

"Okay, should be something in here that'll work. Guess Mary-Ann left us something useful, huh?" Tyler says looking at the screwdriver through the window

"Yeah. We still have to find a way to get inside, though and please, no broken windows." Alyson says

"We'll see...huh? What's happening?do you feel that?" Tyler asks

~Memory~

Young Tyler- "'And don't leave this room until everything looks as clean as a whistle' Uhhh" Scrubbing the left side of the work bench

Young Y/N was scrubbing the floor, she wanted to help so Mary-Ann wouldn't be as mad

Young Alyson- "This is the millionth time I've gotten in trouble because of you" she says pointing an accusing finger at him
"You and your big mouth." Turning back to scrub the surface

Young Tyler- "You were thinking the same thing" Tyler turns around to look at Alyson
"You just weren't brave enough to tell her"

Young Alyson-"What good would it do, it's not like she ever listens to us anyway" she throws her arms up

Young Tyler-"Well, I'd rather scream it right in her stupid face, than be a quiet little mouse" turning back around to the surface

Young Alyson-"We forgot the key!, we need to put it back!" Turning to look at Tyler

Young Tyler-"Maybe we could hide it somewhere?, you know, for fun" holding up the key in both his hands

Young Y/N-"Goblins are supposed to help the princess. Not play mean tricks"

Young Tyler-"Whatever... you're not fun."

Young Alyson-"I'm only trying not to make her even worse"

~End Memory~

"Whoa...Did that just happen?" Tyler asks
"What the hell was that" Y/N asks
"I don't know...but I saw it too" Alyson says
"It felt like how it did when we used to share our thoughts... with 'our voice'" Tyler says turning to face Alyson

"Your voice...?" Y/N asks

"It did, but that was a memory of us ten years ago, right?"Alyson asks

"Yes it was. Now someone please explain what the hell that was" Y/N pleads

Tyler turns to Y/N taking her hand and rubbing her knuckles to keep her calm

"I vaguely remember it happening." Alyson exclaims
"I think so. And, uh... that's new, right?" Tyler asks
"Yeah, we could share thoughts and feelings, but we never 'replayed' memories like that"
"Why would it happen? And why that memory?"
"I don't know... it's pretty eerie"
"It's weird, but our voice was always a good thing, this could be too"

"I'm feeling something again, near the barn"
"Yeah, Me too" Y/N says

~Memory~

Young Tyler-"Hurry!, let's go see the silent frog" walking towards the side of the barn

Young Alyson-"coming. coming"

Young Y/N-"Aly stop sulking"

Young Tyler-"I told you already. I'm sorry"

Young Alyson-"No you're not"

Young Y/N-"okay, I guess you don't wanna see what we put in the treasure room, then" shrugging her shoulders

Young Alyson-"What!No, I wanna see"

The tree walk up to the frog statues

~End Memory~

"Guess we know where to search now" Tyler says walking up to the frogs, letting go of Y/Ns hand

"We just have to remember which one is the silent frog"Alyson says standing off to the side

"So which one of you is hiding the key, hmm?" Y/N says as Tyler lifts up the middle frog "damn.. where's the key?"

"Seriously?" Alyson asks
"Kidding" Tyler says pulling out the key from under the frog
"Oh, come on!"
"Okay, okay, sorry.." Tyler says putting down the frog "nice job keeping the secret, buddy" he says walking away from the frog and jogging over to the door of the shed and unlocking it, walking in and picking up the screwdriver "got it"

"All this for a screwdriver" Alyson says
"You got a better idea how to get in?"
Alyson ignored the question while Tyler exits the shed and jogs over to the bladed entrance

Unscrewing the boards and pulling them back, the three look inside

"You sure you want to go in there?"Alyson asks
"This was our very first den, remember?"
"Who knows what lives down there now" Alyson says as Tyler steps down into the 'den' walking in and walking into the darkness

"Everything okay down there?"Alyson asks
"Tyler?" Y/N asks
Before Tyler jumps to the entrance sticking his head out and screaming
Scaring both of the girls

"That's not funny!" Alyson complains
"Then why am I laughing?" Tyler laughs
"Okay, fine. But you're still an idiot" she raises her voice
"All right, I'm going in for real this time.."
"I'll come with" Y/N says
"Okay.. I'll see you guys at the door in a few minutes" Alyson says leaving to head to the front door

Tyler holds out his hand helping Y/N into the 'den' once she has entered he lets go before ducking under a beam but not before

"Ouch!!" Tyler said "Are you okay? What happened?" Y/N heard Alyson say
"Ah just hit my head like an idiot- wait , what? Where are you?" "Ty, Alys outside" Y/N says out loud
"But I can hear you in my head.. our voice, it's back" Alyson says
"Holy shit" both Y/N and Tyler say
"I uh.. don't suppose you remember how to get to the hatch?" Tyler says in his head
"I think so"
"Dragons straight ahead"
"Need to go left I think"
"You were right, nothing here"Y/N says
"Of course I was"Alyson says as Tyler picks up a figurine from the floor before exiting the bit he was in

"Then left again after the goblins!"
"Nope, it's was on the right"
"My bad" Alyson says as Y/N and Tyler turn left to see their old 'treasure'

"Mary-Ann grilled us about all these missing dishes. But a goblin never gives up their treasure" Tyler said in his head turning to Y/N to which she smiled "pink, it always had to be pink" Tyler said before walking away from the 'treasure'

"Passed the treasure.." Tyler says to Alyson
"Straight ahead" Alyson answers

"You know, I almost convinced myself 'our voice' was another childhood fantasy"
"I'd love if it stayed a fantasy" Y/N says
Tyler turns around and looks at Y/N
"Me too.But we really are connected"
"Then why can I hear you."
"Honestly Y/N, I don't know" Alyson said as Tyler and Y/N walk passed the 'Mad Hunter' and up to where the hatch was

Tyler opens up the hatch before jumping up and grabbing Y/Ns hands pulling her up and helping her into the laundry room
