Adrianna POV

Waking up, I glanced at the alarm on my nightstand. I discovered that it was already six in the morning, so I went out to jog. I needed the cold and fresh air. Furthermore, it was so peaceful since many were not awake and the sun was already shining brightly. Wearing some pants and some cool music was all I needed so that I could go. I jogged around the neighborhood for more than one and a half hours. I decided to head back home and see whether I could find something entertaining.

As I continued to jog, I bumped into someone. I heard my favorite song start singing.

"Watch where you are going," I heard a voice and that is when I snapped my head in the direction of the voice. I stared at the man in front of me in awe. He was certainly the most beautiful and handsome man I have ever seen.

Surprisingly, the man was staring back at me. Yeah, I know that I am hot but at least try not to make it obvious. my subconscious said.

"Don't you know how to apologize?" The man asked, staring at me with amusement swirling in his eyes. I narrowed my eyes.
What was amusing?
"Last time I checked, It takes two people to..."

"You weren't looking where you were going" He cut me off and argued.

"I have no time to waste arguing with a kid," I mumbled but apparently, he heard me and gasped dramatically. "I'm twenty-five!"

I rolled my eyes, "Yet, you behave like a kid."

"I don't bet...."
He was cut off by the voice of someone else.

"Enough." He didn't shout yet his voice was loud, it came out as an order - it was an order.

I turned so that I could look at the person. Honestly, I have never seen any of them. Maybe they are new in the neighborhood.

"I'm off," I told the guy who I bumped into before continuing with my jog.

After a while, I walked into the house and met Ivy seated on the couch.

"What's up?" I asked her.

"No, good morning for me?" She asked.

"Why can't you also just greet me?" I asked her, making her roll her eyes.

"Asshole," she murmured.

"I had that," I said.

"I am hungry," she said.

"Then go and cook!"

"We both know that we are the best chef," she said.

"So?" I asked, already getting annoyed.

"Cook for me," she said.

She really had the guts.

"How much do you pay me, your highness?" I asked sarcastically.

"I hate you," she said.

"I love you too," I said and blew her a kiss.

"I am going to get a shower," I informed her and walked away.

"I got a mission for you!" She yelled as I ran to my room.

"Fantastic!" I shouted back.

After showering and having breakfast, I left the house.

Marcel, a renowned drug dealer, was paying me Twenty thousand dollars for the job. I decided to do it, not because of the money but because that man raped a thirteen-year-old kid and he didn't deserve to live. Don't get me wrong; I was not playing the hero or bringing justice or whatever, I didn't do that. I was far from being one. Yes, I have saved a lot but I've also killed a lot. Daniel raped Marcel's daughter so the man contacted Ivy and told her to inform me about it. I've killed more than I can remember and I did not regret it. I never have and never will. Those men deserved what they've gotten. They did mess up with me after all. Pulling over the car, I stepped out and stared at Daniel's mansion. I unbuttoned the first few buttons of my shirt before fixing my hair. Since Daniel was a sex freak or something like that, the slightest move of a woman would turn him on. I knocked on his door softly and a few seconds later, Daniel was in front of me, eyeing me from top to bottom. I made sure to keep her head lowered as I knew there were cameras on the walls. That way, the cameras won't be able to capture my face.
