Six Souls, One Hope

[Entrie number 666, Nothing can seperate this world now. Its too far gone, it must be erased from inside.]

[Pov, A U T H O R, 3rd Pov]

'So, the plan is set.' Author thinks as they watch a trio of humans walk through the abandoned Hotlands. The cold breeze bashes against the firewall surrounding Author, the effect canceling itself.

Its a boring journey to the broken down core, with little to no monsters left to encounter the humans. 'So, if they cant get a natural challenge....hehehe, why not make one myself?' Author drops the firewall, gaining full sight of the mechanical Core. 'Lets see how they handle a mech. Anime time, go!'

The groaning of gears and strains of metal reverberate throughout the cave, and multiple support beams snap out of the walls and twist into sharper, deadlier points.
'Oh, dont worry. This won't be to kill you...just to stall you.' Author silently laughs as the Core itself rises from the frozen magma, and a faint scream of a mechanical fish lady comes from inside.
'Oh yeah, Undyne's stage is inside the core...She isnt that important anyways.'

[Pov switch, Y/n, 2nd Pov]

You, Chara, and Hunter all walk towards the stairs. Its the only thing that leads to the Capital, and the only working way out of these 'hotlands' as Chara calls them. Your group walks, and the core is seen in its crater, hissing and groans sound from the settling machinery.
Some kind of earthquake cracks through, Hunter slips from inbalance and lands on thier rear, and Chara ends up balancing on her makeshift spear, which is just a knife on a stick. You freeze on the spot, staring at the Core, as it starts moving.

The towering mech opens its many metalic claws, whirling gears screaching as it adjusts to moving. You cant move, but still manage to say a sentance, "Oh fuck me." Chara raises an eyebrow, to which you define your sentance with 'Its horrorfying!' And things like 'Thats not what I ment!' Clearly she beleived you, otherwise her laughter would be directed at the random peice of graffiti behind you saying 'the person in front is an idiot.'

The Core is a wonder of engineering, but with its own power depleating it has to hurry the fight. So instead of letting you get prepared to fight it immediatly strikes foreward, its drills poised to turn you into jam. Hunter moves with blitzing speed, a sword of a strange coloring in their hand. The blade parries the drill, altering its course to land in a random cliff, this causes the Core to strain again, and another arm emerges from the mechine.

The Core retracts a grasper in place of a large hole, which a beam of light slowly starts gathering in. You and Chara run out of the way, but Hunter didn't notice. The blast had a bright blue glare to it, and you were sure if Hunter lived they'd start singing 'Im Blue' or something.
The Core groans, its metal releasing steam as its last drops of energy are emptied.

[Approaching Mc, Prepare for contact Dustshift.....C H A R A]

The smoke clears, you take a deep breath as the smell of burned chocolate reaches your nose. Chara looks nervously at the stairs, and the rattling of bones gets you out of your sent trance.

Another human, her clothes covered in dust, walks down the stairs. In one hand she holds a chainsaw, scarilly similer to yours, and in the other she drags the upper torso of a skeleton. The skeleton wears royal clothing, a massive crak in their skull forms a crown-shaped hole. The human tugs a string of familarity, thats when you realize, she's almost exactly the same as Chara!

[Pov Change, Chara, Horrorshift Version. 1st PoV]

'Do...Do I know this person? They seem familier. Like, Like a pretty mirror.'

I stand between the new human and food-I mean friend! Y-yes, I stand in front of friend and start glaring at the human. Somehow, they do the same glare, and that makes me confused. How can she do my demon eyes?! Is she some kind of copycat?
But no. I realize it now, the hoodie, the eyes, even my brothers scarf. This isn't some illusion, or a fan, no. This, this is me.
