Everything was quiet until...

BAM! BAM! BAM!

Until Mirio came to my door knocking on it loudly. I flinched at the sudden noise as it sent cold chills up my spine. I wasn't expecting this to happen so early this morning. I took a deep breath to collect myself. I couldn't let these noises scare me.

"Tamaki? Are you awake?"

"Yeah, I'm up."

"Awesome! Sorry for waking you so suddenly." He paused, "I came to tell you that Nejire and I wanted to talk with you in the kitchen when you're ready."

I had to get ready at anyways. I gazed at the closet where clothing hung. I didn't have much for items but at least it wouldn't take me long to get ready, it never took much time. All I had to do was grab my hoodie and throw it on before leaving my bedroom. Around me, my space wasn't big but it provided me with what I needed. The walls were white and nothing on them. The only thing that brought attention to the room was the closet and my small bed in the corner of the that I hardly fit on.

"Take your time, we're in no rush."

"I'll be out with you shortly. It won't take me long."

"Okay! We'll see you in the kitchen when you're finished."

The sound of his footsteps became faint before they vanished. There were only three of us who lived in this apartment. For as long as I could remember we've had respect for each other. This made me feel better that I knew I had two people within arm's reach whenever I needed it. I rose from the bed and focused on getting ready. I grabbed my favorite hoodie that Mirio and Nejire gave me a few weeks after we first met. It was yellow with a light blue sun printed on the front of it; I slipped it over my head. This was the only hoodie I had and it was hot and bulky. It was harder for me to manage in the summer heat, the season had come to an end. Currently it was the middle of fall, but I knew this was what I had to do. I reached my hand back and checked if my hood was still there it was after I made a few small adjustments to it. I let my shoulders relax as I knew that things were okay.

I walked over and opened the door as it creaked loudly, the sound echoed in my ears. Outside the room in the long and dark hallway the only light was at the end of it from the kitchen. I walked down the hall; I kept close to the wall. In the entry of the kitchen; I poked my head in as Mirio stood on the opposite end of the room. He gazed at the wall with multicolored slips of paper pinned to by a large but organized cork board. The focus he had was on the black and red poster in the middle, what he did was amazing and admirable. I don't know how he does it but Mirio did this every morning. He must've heard me as he turned his head in my direction. A wide smile formed on his face. His blonde hair and bright blue button-like eyes shone as he came closer. He wore a light red button up shirt and some tan cargo shorts with large pockets. Mirio placed a hand on my shoulder with a light touch. It was a light touch.

Mirio chuckled, "There you are! How'd you sleep?"

"I slept okay. What about you?"

"Last night I slept like a baby! It was wonderful."

"I know we didn't tell you yet about what we're doing today. Nejire and I have been planning to take you somewhere special. Just the three of us and one big adventure."

I paused and tilted my head, "Where are we going?"

Mirio patted my shoulder, "I wanted to keep it a surprise for you, but I feel now that you're here it's better to tell you before we go. I thought that this was a good change of pace. It'll be awesome where we'll be going!" Mirio's grin widened, "We're going to the Hero Festival that they hold every year at The Square!"
