I froze and stood still at the sight of many people going in all directions heading from stands to talking loudly with each other. Some of them even wore bright hero costumes that stood out from the rest while wearing winter gear to deal with the fall weather. It was a lot to take in all at once but at the same time this was a chance to do something new. My attention was caught on everything to the point I couldn't process much before the next thing crossed my path. Today was going to be an interesting day. I felt it deep in my gut.

My eyes widened as my gaze traveled till it landed on the large red banner above me. Bold black letters hung on the top of the streetlamps of The Square. The words spelt 'Hero Festival' as that was what stood out the most to me out of everything I'd seen. I held my breath as chills creeped throughout my entire body. What a sight this was. Nothing would stop me from having a good day with Mirio and Nejire. I thank them for this chance to do something different.

I didn't realize I zoned out again before Mirio waved his hand in front of my face to grab my attention. The motion broke me from my thoughts as the banner had taken me out of the present moment. A smile came to his face as he extended an arm out to me.

"Tamaki? Are you there?"

"Yeah, I'm here. Just got lost in my thoughts."

"Come on! We have no time to waste! We'll need to get our entry wristbands and with that we should be good to go!"

A small red and black painted booth wasn't far in front of us. We made our way to it where a young man named Jeff sat in a black fold out chair. He glared at us and stood as he held out his hand to us.

"Entry fee, it's five for each of you."

"On it!"

Mirio pulled out his wallet. He handed Jeff three bills as that was enough for us to enter. Three red and black wristbands were passed to Mirio. I didn't know what was up with him but Jeff wasn't letting up his glare as he kept it locked on me. I paused and wondered why this guy was being so salty. We haven't done anything to make him upset. Or have we? I hoped not.

Mirio stepped in front of me and held one of the bands over to me. I put my wrist out as it was fastened tightly. Maybe a little too tight for my taste. He helped Neijire with her band before he put his own on. We were now ready to start our adventure.

"There! All good to go!"

Mirio stepped past the gates and into The Square. He stopped a few feet inside before he gasped and waved us to him over a wide grin on his face.

"Wow! You guys gotta check this out! The setup here is amazing!"

Nejire shot forward and stood next to Mirio. Her eyes grew wide as she started to skip around in place.

"This is awesome! I can scope ahead and see what else there is? I can find you guys later! See ya!"

"Don't take too long! We don't want to lose you in the crowds." Mirio said with a chuckle.

Without another word Nejire skipped ahead a few paces. It didn't take her long till she vanished and was out of sight. I frowned seeing her go ahead without us. Aren't we supposed to be doing this adventure together? I didn't know why she left us but it left me in silence. Whatever caught her interest was why did she leave us with little heads up? I guessed that curiosity of the event got a hold of her and that left Mirio and I unable to keep up with her.

"Come on Tamaki! Let's get moving! I see a really interesting booth ahead that I want to check out!"

Mirio's voice broke me from my thoughts. "Coming."

I moved forward as I rounded the corner only to collide into someone that stood behind the entry booth. It was too late to turn back now as I took a step away from him. We did lose balance but luckily we didn't fall and got our berings back. The person I ran into was a tall lanky teen. He didn't let up his glare and wasn't going to stop any time soon. A scowl came to his face and his fists bunched up. They had ginger hair and a casual white shirt and gray shorts on with black sandels on.
