THE SSR BASE WAS underground, hidden by the facade of an army regulation clothing store that saved special materials for the soldiers.  They answered whatever secret riddle the lady at the desk had said to them and she let them in the basement.  The stairs led to a small room with only an elevator, and they went down further, finally arriving at the base.  It wasn't bustling with people, but there were still quite a few there.  Colonel Phillips and some others were waiting for them inside.  It was a large base, built by bricks.  There were maps and bulletin boards covered in papers on nearly every wall, and in the middle, a large octagonal table where war strategies were discussed.  Every light was of a warm, yellow color, giving the windowless base an orange aura.

They got straight to business.  One soldier laid out a large map of Europe on a wood table just beside some filing cabinets.

"I didn't get as good a look as Steve did," said Rebecca, looking at the large map.  She glanced at a couple places on the map, hoping something might jog her memory.

"I think we should wait for him, then," said Peggy.

"I think that's a good idea."

Fifteen minutes later, Steve arrived.  Someone handed him a pencil and he walked toward the map.  They got straight to work.  Rebecca remembered the location of only one base, in Italy— Steve did the rest.  Rebecca watched his face scrunch in concentration when he thought— he would bite the back of the pencil sometimes.

"... The fifth one was here in Poland, right near the Baltic,"  said Steve, marking it with an X.  "And the sixth one was... about here, 30, 40 miles west of the Maginot Line." He marked it, then picked up his pencil and allowed another man to pick up the map and take it away.  "I just got a quick look," Steve told Peggy.

She raised her brows.  "Well, nobody's perfect," said Peggy.

They set up the factory locations on the large map on the octagonal table and surrounded it.  "These are the weapon factories we know about," began Steve.  "Sergeant Barnes said that Hydra shipped all the parts to another facility that isn't on this map."

"Agent Carter, coordinate with MI6," Colonel Phillips said to her, walking away from the table.  "I want every Allied eyeball looking for that main Hydra base."

"What about us?" she asked, following him.  Steve and Rebecca followed her.

"We are going to set a fire under Johann Schmidt's ass."  A woman handed him a piece of paper, and he looked at it.  "What do you say, Rogers? Cooper?  It's your map.  You think you can wipe Hydra off of it?"

"Yes sir," they said at the same time.

"We'll need a team," Steve said.

"We're already putting together the best men," said Phillips.
