Kai X Reader

Suicide warning

"Hah...hah....y/n! Where...Where are you!" Kai shouts into the collapsing house. Running in, he searched for you.

"Kai! Oh thank god, what's happening?!" You say tearfully.

"We-we have to get out of here! I do not know what's happening, but we need to run!" He pulls you out of the house. As you run, the house you shared with him, for so many years, where you had so many memories, fell.

"Kai... stop! W-what's happening...I don't know what's happening!" You shout over the rumbling of the Earth beneath you.

"Darling...I think this might be the end...of the world." He said, fear in his eyes.

"N-no....!" You say, in shock.

"Y/n, we have to run! We can survive this, I know we can, we just have to-" you cut him off.

"There's no surviving this, babe. We will just keep running, and running. Let's just give in. I'm tired..."

The end had been coming for awhile. The oceans flooded, the earth shook. You and Kai had somehow lived through it all, but the worst is here.

"Y/n...I love you, please, keep running with me..!" He pleaded, tears falling down his face.

"We can't run forever, Kai!" You shout, the rumbling getting louder, a cloud of dust approching rapidly.

"Y/n...ugh!" He grabbed your wrist, pulling you with him, not caring if you ran with or not.

You made it to a cave.

"Y/n... Remember when we first met, haha...We were...so young, so stupid." He curses.

"What if...it was different. What if the world wasn't ending?" You sob. You hold each other in your arms, both crying.

"Hah... we'd get married, have kids, who knows. Retire into a life of solitude..." He says, laughing.

"Kai...let's just end it, before everything else does. You have a knife, right?"

He looks at you in disbelief. "I...let's do it." He finally gave in to the truth. Kai, the pessimist. Kai, the one thought by everyone to be suicidal. Kai, the one you love. Kai, the one to end your life.

"I do yours, you do mine. Like the old days, when we'd chest on tests."

He grabs the knife, but pulls you into a high, kissing you.

"I love you, Y/n. So much."

"I love you too, Kai."

As the dust settles, a group of survivors walk into the cave, looking for shelter. They find two corpses, wrapped in each other's embrace. A knife lays on the ground, between the two.

The pair, both have names carved into they're flesh. The one with black hair, Y/n. The one closest to the knife, Kai.

They're hands were clasped. The walls around them had collapsed, in a heard shape, around the two deceased lovers.
