"Max! Duck!" Lewis shouted as a wine glass flew across the room towards Max. Max snapped her head in the direction of her brother, ducking down to avoid the glass as it shattered against the wall behind her. Her heart was pounding against her chest as she swung the iron fire pick in her hands at the little girl in front of her. The iron cut through the girl like butter as she dissolved.
"Where's Avery? I thought she said she was going to burn this little ankle biter's bones!" Max shouted at her brother, watching her surroundings.
"I don't know but-" Lewis was cut of by a dresser sliding across the room, pinning him to the wall. He groaned out in pain as his head smacked against the hard drywall, his hands going up to push the dresser away.
"Lewis!" Max ran over, trying to help Lewis knock the dresser over but before she could, she was being thrown across the room, her fire pick being discarded. Her body hit the wall and she slid down it, hugging herself in pain as the little girl grinned.
