"Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all."- Dale Carnegie
|Kamaria|Smoothing out my bang, as Jhené Aiko's Summer 2020 gently played throughout the car as he buckled his seat belt and placed the car in reverse. I watched closely as he placed a hand behind my headrest and slightly turned to look backwards as he backed out of the parking space.
'Times are changing,
Strange is getting .
Generations faced with genocide
Tryna make my way through pain and anger
Then I look into my baby's eyes'As we made our way out of the garage I sent a quick text to Aisha letting her know we were heading to the club.
Aisha🫶🏽: Okay boo! Let me know when yall pull up. Let him cop a feel😏.
I cackled at her message, seeing Michael quickly glance over at me from my peripheral. I quickly sent a reply back.
Me: Girl get the fuck.
I locked my phone and placed it in my lap. Turning to watch the buildings as past by as he sped by them.
"If you want to change the song you can. I just like to vibe when I drive." Michael said to me. I turned my head to looked over at him. I watched as he gripped the steering wheel with his left hand, while his right hand rested on his lap.
"I'm good. I love Jhené...I'm kind of surprised, that you even like listening to her."
I seen his eyebrows raise, "Oh really? So what kind of music did you think I only listened to?"
He asked. I twiddled my thumbs as I shyly opened my mouth, "I just thought of you being just a trap music or rap music type. Most of the guys I know always get on me about my slow songs."He chuckled and rubbed his mustache. "Well, I ain't like other dudes, I love R&B. It helps me keep my mind clear and keeps me leveled. Sometimes I do like to listen to rap, to get a little hype." He said while stopping at a red light.
'And I feel like sometimes, I cry
Cause I feel so good to be alive
When I fall in line with my Divine
I can see a side the sun shines more, yeah'I hummed as he continued to drive.
After a few minutes of comfortable silence, we were pulling up to the club. Michael pulled up to valet, and hopped out. Thankfully, his tint was dark. The paparazzi was all over him, luckily a few bouncers guarded him from them. He handed the valet his keys before walking back to my door and opening it for me. He held his hand out towards me, waiting for me to grab it.
