CHAPTER FIVE.
narrative.

"DOES your boyfriend only speak in emojis when you guys talk? Because I don't think I've ever heard him speak and that seems to be his only way of communicating in your posts so, I'm assuming yes." Daniel commented on as the two of them still sat on the couch in the living room, but now watching a movie.

"Do not start this." Caia sighed.

"What? I'm just curious." Daniel shrugged knowing he was picking with the girl. "I mean I've known him for a while now, and I don't think I've ever heard him say more than two words."

"That's funny, because I could say the same thing about Mia." Caia threw back at the boy making him instantly stop. "Where is Miss Mia?"

"Not funny." Daniel pointed out.

"You don't know do you?"

"Not particularly. No."

Mia Logan. Daniel's girlfriend.

Mia was an instagram model that Daniel had met about a year ago. The Why Don't We boys had been invited to an event that Mia just so happened to be invited to as well.

That night, Daniel had run into her— like literally ran into her since he hadn't been paying attention to where he was going.

He apologized profusely and she forgave him profusely. The pair had eventually laughed it off and introduced themselves.

They talked the entire night and continued talking a year later. It wasn't anything romantic, well it wasn't on Daniel's part. Mia was constantly flirting with Daniel, but he wasn't reciprocating it.

Why wasn't he flirting back? Because he had feelings for Caia.

He knew she was in a relationship, but he just couldn't get over his feelings. So, when Mia first showed up he showed no interest.

Until one day, he and the boys were all hanging out and somehow got to the topic.

"Daniel, when are you going to ask Mia out?" Corbyn asked groaning. "You talk to each other more than Jack talks to his mom."

"And that's saying something." Jonah chimed in.

"Jack's a total momma's boy." Zach chuckled.

"Hey! I am not!" Jack complained before his phone that had been sitting on the table started ringing.

It was his mother.

All five boys looked at it, and the four others stared at Jack as he instantly picked up the phone and answered it.

"Hi mom." Jack said as he walked outside to gain some privacy, but before he left fully he looked at the four boys and whisper shouted. "This proves nothing!"
