"SO, what's wrong with you?" Cianna Withers asked her older sister as the two watched the credits roll on the One Direction documentary.
After seeing Caia's post, Cianna immediately barged into the girl's room and made her restart the movie for them to watch together.
The two live together in an apartment Caia had gotten them in Los Angeles once Cianna had graduated high school.
"What do you mean?" Caia furrowed her eyebrows at the girl's sudden question.
"You captioned your post "currently coping right now" as you watch This Is Us as if this isn't the movie you watch when you're sad." Cianna stated.
"I watch a lot of movies when I'm sad."
"Yes, but each movie has a category to it's sadness. Dreamgirls if you've had a bad day, Tangled if you're feeling lonely, Another Cinderella Story— Selena Gomez one of course—if you're anxiety is bad, Starstruck for your period kind of sad, and This Is Us for any of these occasions." Cianna proudly claimed.
"You categorized my sadness with movies—"
"Uh duh. I did it with shows too. Phoenix and I have a list going." Cianna scoffed as if it was crazy that she even asked.
"A list? Like a list list?"
"Girl what? What do you mean by list list? A list is a list."
"Yeah, but I'm trying to see if it's a serious list or if it's—"
"No, I'm not entertaining this rabbit hole you're about to take me on." Cianna interrupted. "Back to my original question, what's wrong?"
"I wasn't going to take you on a rabbit hole I was just asking, and nothing is wrong why do you think something is wrong?" Caia questioned.
"I already explained why I know something is wrong, so explain what's wrong." Cianna said.
Caia just blinked at the girl with a blank stare that could also be seen as a confused one.
"What? Why are you just staring at me?" Cianna then asked the girl.
"...You said why you know there was something wrong?" Caia hesitantly asked.
Now it was Cianna's turn to stare at Caia with a confused but blank stare.
"Are you shitting my dick right now?"
"Am I doing what to your what—"
"We fully just sat here and talked about why I knew there was something wrong and you're telling me you don't remember?" Cianna narrowed her eyes.
"I'm so serious, what did we say?"
"It's giving Dory the fish, it's giving Chicken Little, you are literally the epitome of Amnesia by Five Seconds of Summer." Cianna voiced.
"Oh I love Five Seconds of Summer."
"That is so besides the point."
"Alexa play Amnesia by Five Seconds of Summer."
"No. What? No."
"Playing Amnesia by Five Seconds of Summer."
"No, Alexa stop."
"I drove by all the places we used to hang out getting wasted."
"Please stop. I'm begging you." Cianna pleaded.
"Sometimes I start to wonder, was it just a lie?
If what we had was real, how could you be fine?
'Cause I'm not fine at all" Caia scream sang along."I actually hate you. I was trying to have an adult conversation about what was wrong but I don't want to help you anymore." Cianna complained.
That statement made Caia stop and look at her younger sister confused. "Since when have you ever tried to have an adult conversation?"
"Name a time I haven't." Cianna folded her arms fully offended by what Caia had said.
"That time we were at our great grandfather's funeral and instead of coping with his death like a normal person you laughed every time someone said his name that day." Caia mentioned.
"His name was Dick, Caia. Dick." Cianna reminded her. "How was I supposed to not laugh? "Here lies Dick Withers." That's comedy gold!"
"That's my point! You don't do serious! So why are you all of a sudden switching up on me?" Caia asked the girl.
Cianna sighed, "Phoenix told me to."
"There we go."
"I mean, I knew something was wrong but I didn't know how to bring it up, so I talked to Phoenix and she told me that I need to talk to you, make you talk about your feelings, but obviously you're not in a very sharing mood." Cianna explained.
"I appreciate the concern, but I'm fine." Caia shrugged.
"Caia..."
"No, really I am. I was upset about something with Zeke earlier when I made the post, but now everything is all covered." Caia pushed.
"Really? That's it?"
"That's it."
"Okay, then you won't mind me telling Phoenix that." Cianna shrugged as she pulled out her phone.
"What? What are you doing?"
"Texting Phoenix that you and Zeke had a bit of an issue, but everything's cool now." Cianna repeated.
Caia's eyes widened. The thing about her best friend Phoenix, she didn't like Zeke. She never liked Zeke. Not even the first time she met him.
She always thought he was a bad guy and her suspicions were proven correct the second Caia and Zeke broke up the first time.
Phoenix always hated the fact that Caia got back together with him, but Caia was twenty years old, she can't tell her what to do. So, the only time she would talk bad about Zeke, was when they broke up, or when he did something bad.
"No!"
"Why?"
"Because then she's going to text me and tell me I need to break up with him."
"You do need to break up with him."
"Not right now!"
"That makes no sense at all."
"Listen!" Caia sighed loudly. "I don't want to break up with Zeke, yes he hurt my feelings, but I really don't want to end things with him right now. So please. Do not tell Phoenix."
Cianna looked at the girl and eventually put her phone down with a groan. "Ugh. Fine."
After a beat of silence Caia then spoke up. "So what are the shows you have?"
"Hold on, let me get the list." Cianna sighed as she left the room only to come back with a full notebook.
"What is that?!"
"The list! Keep up!"
