Perhaps that was her imagination because there is no way InuYasha would say something like that. She walked away from the temple and decided to continue her journey alone. There were so many different personalities that somehow attracted her and without realizing it, she wanted to stay with them forever. The consistent reminder of why she is alone, the smallest jolt of happiness would eventually disappear.
Kotori cupped her hands and slurped water from the river. She blankly stared at her reflection and her heart began to ache painfully with each beat. " THIS IS NOT ME! I AM NOT A MONSTER!" Her feet splashed through the water as she ran across the river.
The enemy was herself.
She has been by herself since she was a mere child, and it shouldn't be any different now. She sought out shelter in the cave and water droplets of rain hit the leaf on the tree. Her stomach growled but that didn't seem to matter, she didn't have an appetite. Her feelings were weird and twisted. She did not know what to make out of it. It had been several days, and her body had a strong impulse for hunger. She smelled something delicious in the air her feet ran on their own and there was a village nearby. A devious smile grew on her face once she arrived. It reminded her of her mother's cooking then she stumbled back at a human with a stab wound.
" Please save me..." The young men cried.
A wild animal hunting its prey.
When she came to her senses there was a dead body in front of her. Her hands trembled at the sight of blood all over her clothes. She was scared and did not want to make any assumptions. It was the gut feeling because, for some reason, she was completely full.
" A MONSTER!" the little boy pointed with tears in his eyes, she saw the fangs in her teeth." IT'S EATING PAPA!"
" N-No, it wasn't me! I am human like you." Kotori desperately pleaded as tears form in her eyes. She was surrounded by the villagers with pitchforks. The children threw rocks at her face and arrows came flying in her direction.
She had no choice and was chased out of the village.
Her body is going through severe changes fast. The necklace suppressed her demonic abilities and now, the demon nature is forcing its way through overpowering her human side. Causing her to feel so many things at once, it's confusing and terrifying. The only thing that made her safe and gave her comfort was the necklace. It made living among humans easier.
From a faraway land, an evil laugh echoed watching the half-demon struggle to adapt. He found it quite assuming as he swirls the necklace around his finger looking at the crystal ball with half the jewel shards in his other hand.
" What shall I do next? Return her memories or pay her a little visit."
He summoned his incarnations to carry out his bidding. They kneel down in front of him waiting for his instructions.

The Temple....
" Why didn't anyone stop Ko from leaving?" the fox demon asked in an upsetting tone." I miss her so much!"
"Ko's real name is Kotori, I would have never guessed her identity." Miroku observed." Mhmm..."
" Shippo, that woman stole and betrayed us." Sango said." There is no way that we can trust somebody like her again."
" You can not make Ko the bad guy! From trying to kill InuYasha and stealing the jewel shards, I think everyone is guilty!" the fox demon said angrily." IF THAT WAS THE CASE THEN NONE OF US SHOULD BE FRIENDS!"
" Calm down guys." Sweat dripped down from Kagome's face." Well, Miroku and Sango do have a point."
" InuYasha, what do you have to say?" asked the fox demon. " Do you not care about Ko at all either?"
Deep down, he wanted to stop her that day.
" Shut up would ya – "InuYasha punched the fox demon in the face." All that whining is annoying."
