Burns

I finally spotted the Cloudy Cafe landing in the alley I could hear two people talking in the back room of the cafe. I quickly made myself invisible and sat down next to Niki listening to her's and Tommy's conversation. after a few minutes, Niki asked if Jack was going to be okay. "He should be hopefully..." Tommy was examining the burns as he finished removing the remains of Jack's shirt. "But from the looks of it, there'll be some permanent scarring." I quickly slapped my hand over my mouth when I realized that I just blew my cover. "Who's there?!" Niki looked around frantically looking for where the voice had come from. "Right here!" I deactivated the ability to reveal myself to them. "Who are you?!" Tommy demanded. "The name's Maria Power otherwise known as Steam Queen, I'm the latest member of the Syndicate!" I beamed. "By the way, there's no need to introduce yourselves I already know who you are. You're Arson otherwise known as Niki, You're Tommy, and that's Iceman otherwise known as Jack!" I pointed to them as I named each of them. "You're that lady that bought coffee yesterday!" Tommy exclaimed. "That's me! Oh, and I saw you help Siren. There are very few people like you left." I shook my head disappointed. "Gah my head, what happened?" Jack looked up at us. "Who are you two?" He asked me and Tommy. "That's Tommy, and I'm Maria," I introduced myself. "What's with the get-up?" Jack asked eyeing my outfit. "You sir are talking to the Syndicate's newest member!" I beamed proudly. "Oh, uh welcome to the team I guess..." Jack sat up. "You guys should probably get going." Tommy helped Jack up off the floor. "Thank you..." Niki nodded, closing the door behind them. "So... You gonna go?" Tommy turned to me. "I was hoping I could help you clean up and walk you home." I offered. "Sure I guess..." Tommy shrugged. After we cleaned up I stood on the sidewalk and watched as Tommy locked the door of the Cafe and we started walking in the direction of Tommy's house. We talked on our way there bantering about random things and teasingly poking fun at each other when we arrived in front of Tommy's apartment building. "Hey I was planning on dropping by the Cafe tomorrow, I was thinking I should probably get a job while I'm in town. Anyway, see you tomorrow!" I waved. "See you tomorrow." Tommy waved back smiling as he went inside. "Okay, time to head back." I took off flying back to Wilbur's house.
