Next on my list were Monarch (Eret) and Alurion (Foolish). However, I would have to wait until after my and Tommy's shifts to try and find them. Primarily due to the fact that I couldn't walk up to Foolish and out of the blue say. "Hey, would you and Monarch be willing to help the Syndicate get rid of a corrupt hero commission?" Because that could give away his identity to literally every customer in the cafe and that would not be good. Once I finished my shift I sat down in my usual booth and took out my computer to work on another piece of troublesome code. About an hour later Tommy came over to tell me that it was time to go. I packed up my stuff as Tommy locked the door from the inside and shut off the lights we usually went through the back door so I could change into my outfit and he could put on his mask. After that, we would leave through the alleyway so as not to have to go back through the cafe. Even though I couldn't say anything to Foolish out loud I had slipped him a note as he was on his way out with Eret. I knew he read it because I saw him show it to Eret who nodded. As Tommy and I emerged from the alleyway we spotted Alurion and Monarch coming toward the cafe. The two spotted us and I waved them over. "Alurion told me you two wanted to speak with us?" Monarch clarified when we got to the back of the alley. Earlier Puffy and I had checked the alley for security cameras that hadn't been set up by her, making sure to destroy them. "Okay Toms, masks off..." I reminded propping my goggles on my hairline as Tommy pocketed his own mask. "Hold up you guys can't reveal your identities!" Alurion waved his arms frantically. "Don't worry Foolish it's something the Syndicate does as a sign of trust," Eret explained removing their own mask. "Basically it means we trust you to keep our identities a secret," I added. "Okay..." Foolish hesitated for a second before removing his mask. then he recognized who Tommy and I were. "Wait... Maria?! You're Steam Queen?!" Foolish shrieked, luckily it wasn't loud enough for anyone to hear him. "Anyways, Maria what did you need to talk to us about?" Eret crossed their arms. "The Syndicate needs your help. We're trying to get rid of the corrupt hero commission." I explained. Eret and Foolish looked at each other. "I have proof if you need it." I offered, holding out an envelope containing polaroids I had taken of multiple villains and vigilantes who had come to Tommy with severe injuries some of which would have been considered fatal some of the injured weren't even part of the Syndicate. "The commission has been completely ignoring the detain not kill policy of course the commission hasn't said a word of it to the public. The citizens have no clue as to what's been going on the commission is deliberately keeping everyone in the dark." I explained as Eret and Foolish looked through the photos. "How long has this been going on?" Eret questioned. "Months for all I know..." I shook my head. "And these aren't fake?" Foolish asked. "It's pretty hard to fake polaroids Foolish..." Eret muttered stopping on the photo of Jack's burns. "And those burns could only have come from Flame's ability..." Eret added shaking their head. "So you in?" I asked shifting my weight from one foot to the other. "We'll help." Eret nodded handing the photos back to me. "So what' do you plan to do?"  Foolish asked. "First we fight back using our villain/vigilante personas if that fails we file a lawsuit they can't get themselves out of." I nodded. "It's the hero commission they're going to find a way out..." Eret pointed out. "But we have evidence against them..." I held up the envelope. "But Dream has CCTV footage of me healing Siren." Tommy groaned. Shoot... The kid's right... Dream could easily use that to the commission's advantage in this, couldn't he... I sighed. "We need more evidence. That's when it hit me. "I got it!" I perked up. "If Dream can use CCTV footage then why can't we?" I smirked. "What do you mean Maria?" Tommy asked. "If the CCTV footage caught Tommy healing Siren then maybe..." I paused trying to see if the three of them were picking up what I was putting down. "It caught Dream trying to kill him!" Tommy finished. "That's actually really smart thinking Maria..." Eret smiled. "Thank you, Eret." I smiled.

(Time skip brought to you by my laziness and writer's block) :')

After dropping Tommy off with Phil I made my way to the Demon's Diner. "Hi! Welcome, to- Oh! Hello Maria do you need anything?" Hannah set down the menu she'd been holding. "Actually I was wondering if I could speak with Bad and Skeppy if you know what I mean." I hinted. "Of course... You should probably talk to them in the kitchen though so that customers don't hear..." She motioned for me to follow her. Leading me to the kitchen. "Bad there's someone who wants to speak to you!" Hannah called in a sing-song voice. "Hello! I'm Bad! How can I help you?" He smiled. "Hello Bad I'm Maria I'm here on behalf of the Syndicate..." I introduced myself. "The Syndicate?!" Bad backed up. "Don't worry Bad I know her personally she's just here to ask a favor,"  Hannah explained with a reassuring smile. "Alright then Hannah, so what does the Syndicate need from us?" Bad asked. "We need your help taking down a corrupt hero commission," I explained. "What do you mean corrupt?" Bad looked at me confused. "Well, you see the commission has disregarded the detain not kill order entirely heroes have gotten away with nearly killing vigilantes and villains with no punishment issued. The commission merely covers it up... They're keeping the people in the dark as to what's really going on. As of right now over half the Syndicate owes their life to our healer Apollo." I sighed crossing my arms and looking at the floor. "I'll talk about it with Skeppy." Bad frowned. "No need. I heard everything and I can tell you I will gladly help..." Skeppy nodded. "Skeppy I've told you no using your ability to eavesdrop!" Bad scolded. "I do I listen?" Skeppy smirked. "No... No, You do not..." Bad sighed facepalming. "Thank you Bad you have no idea how much this means to us..." I thanked him. "Anyways I must be going, Hannah I trust you will give them the details?" I turned to Hannah. "Of course have a good night Maria." Hannah smiled.
