"Good morning, Mr. and Mrs. Welles." Winona smiled as she entered their house. "Good morning, Winona. Did you sleep well?" Mrs. Welles asked the girl.
"Like a puppy." She smiled. "What are you reading?" She then asked the adult human, looking at the newspaper in his hands.
"It's today's." He smiled, before handing it over to her. Winona sat down by the table across from him, before she started reading the paper.
"How are things with you and your mom?" Mrs. Welles asked the girl while making breakfast. "Well, I'm still a little mad that she lied to me and didn't tell me that I was adopted, but all in all, she's still my mom and I love her." Winona answered.
"Hey, do you mind if I do the Sudoku for you?" She asked the man. "All yours." Mr. Wells smiled before giving her a pen.
"Good morning. Good morning, Winnie." Addison smiled as she walked down the stairs. "Morning!" Winona smiled happily at her best friend.
The two girls were given one plate of breakfast each, eating it while chatting happily, before they bid goodbye and left for school.
A couple of weeks had past since Prawn, and since the meteor Winona had seen came, and once in a while, they would have random meteor rain.
"So, have you thought about what we talked about?" Addison asked her friend. Winona looked at her before sighing. "Really, Addie?" She asked.
"Come on, Winnie. I'm begging you." Addison pleaded. "No, Ads. I don't want to join the cheer team. I'm sorry, but my answer is no." She said sternly.
"But the doctor said that your legs were fully healed and that it was safe for you." She said. Winona looked at her friend.
"Fine." Addison let out a sigh of remorse. "I won't bring it up again." She said. The two girls entered the school building, and immediately headed towards their lockers, where the rest of their group had gathered.
"Good morning." Winona smiled as she opened her locker and placed her bag inside. "Morning." Wyatt smiled, leaning against the locker next to her, which belonged to him.
"You have my gummy bears?" Asked the female, looking up at him. Wyatt let out a nervous chuckle while scratching his neck.
"Uhm, no." He said. "Wyatt, for how long do I have to nag you for those damn gummy bears?" she asked with a smile. "Until I give them to you." he said with a flirty smile. The rest of their friends just looked at them, smiling.
"So," Eliza started, grabbing their attention. "I have some news to share." she smiled. Everyone looked at her hopefully. "I have been offered an internship at Z-corp for next year." she smiled. Everyone congratulated her.
"But I thought you hated Z-corp and their Z-bands." Wynter pointed out. "I still do. But I'd never say no to an internship." Eliza answered with a smile. "I'm happy for you, El." Winona smiled. "Thanks, Win." the female zombie smiled at her.
Winona dropped her books to the floor as the bell rang, covering her ears. "Damn, that's loud!" she cried, still covering her ears even after the bell stopped. "Still not used to your new hearing?" Asked Addison.
"No. You guys just go ahead. I'll meet up with you later." she sighed. The group shrugged before they walked away to their classes. Winona sighed as she bent down to the floor and started to gather her books.
She stopped as someone bent down with her, gathering the papers that had fallen out. "Don't worry. Soon enough you'll get used to it. And then it won't be so bad." Wyatt smiled at her. Winona smiled back, her cheeks heating up, before they both stood up.
"You didn't have to help me, Wy. I could've done it myself. I'm really sorry that you'll be late to class now because of me." she said as they started walking. "Relax, Nona, it's fine." he smiled. "I'm still going to feel bad about this." she said.
"That's because you have a good heart." he said, before stopping outside the door to their classroom. He then opened the door for her, which she thanked him for, before they sat down on their places. Lucky for them, the teacher was running late.

Winona sat on the floor of her bedroom, staring with narrow eyes at the open notebook that was placed on her bed. Not even when a person stepped in through her open window, did she look away.
"Uhm, Winnie, what are you doing?" Addison asked, looking weirdly at her friend. "I am trying to come up with a new design." she mumbled quietly. "I'm guessing you have no luck?" the blonde asked.
Winona let her head fall as she let out a groan of defeat. "I haven't had a single idea in weeks." she groaned. "You just need the right inspiration. Look here." the blonde smiled, before taking a large, blue binder from her shelf before laying it on the bed.
Winona stood up and walked to stand next to her friend. "These are all your old designs. From the school play in second grade, to the dresses from Prawn. Maybe this will inspire you?" Addison smiled.
"It's worth a shot. Anyways, what's up, Ads?" the brunette asked, looking at her friend. "I wanted to talk to you about today." she smiled before sitting down on her bed. "What about today?" Winona asked, sitting down next to her.
"The interaction between you and Wyatt this morning?" Addison asked. Winona blushed. "Please, I'm begging you, Winnie. You have to do something." she pleaded. "I don't want to risk our friendship, Addison." Winona said.
"You aren't risking anything! It's SO obvious to EVERYONE that you have feelings for each other." Addison told her friend. "I'm scared, Addie. What if I've misread everything? What if it doesn't work out and we break up? What if we can't even be in the same room together? We'll split up the entire friend group." Winona blabbed.
"Winnie, stop. You're overthinking way to much. None of that is ever going to happen, okay? Please, just consider it." Addison assured her friend. Winona looked at her. "Fine, I'll think about it." she mumbled, before the girl hugged her best friend happily.
"I have to go home and help mom with something. Sleep tight and I'll see you tomorrow." Addison smiled before walking towards the window. "Good night." Winona smiled before she was alone in her room.
She stared at the picture on the page that the binder was open on. "I wish you were here, Jeymie." she mumbled, before closing it and putting it back in its spot on her shelf. She then stood there for a few seconds, before deciding to go to bed.
