We get a matrix transition that transitions to Chris and the rest back in his dorm room.
LACY 2.0: Connecting to Wi-fi.
40 seconds later
LACY 2.0: Connection successful, this update shouldn't take long. Powering down.
Lacy powers down and she works on the update.
TERRA: Chris, I'm kind of worried.
CHRIS: What's there to worry about? It's just a software update. Nothing can go wrong with a software update.
TERRA: No, not her.
CHRIS: Than what?
TERRA: It's this fanfic you're writing.
CHRIS: Say no more, I know it's bad, but you don't know how hard it is to stay on topic.
CHRIS: I'm not much of an experienced writer like everyone else.
CHRIS: I do wanna stay on topic really, but with little knowledge of Montenevera, I just ended up making a shit fanfiction that was suppose to end several parts ago.
CHRIS: My dumbass thought it was a good idea to literally add in another story to make this fanfic longer than it was suppose to be.
CHRIS: No one reads my fanfics anymore though, so it doesn't matter if I go crazy with these fanfics anymore.
CHRIS: I fell off, and now I fell worthless and braindead after all the fanfics I wrote before.
CHRIS: I don't know why I keep writing if no one pays attention to my page anymore, but I put this up on me, so I gotta keep going.
TERRA: Oh, Chris, if you felt like you lost the creative spark for these fanfics than you shouldn't force yourself to keep going. It'll just make you feel awful and stressed out that you can't make quality good fanfics. I don't mean that in a hateful way.
CHRIS: It's okay, I get what you ment, but if I stop now another fanfic idea will pop up in my head and I'll have to write it down. I can't esacape this rabbit hole that I dug myself too far in, so I just have to suffer through it.
Terra hugs Chris with a worried look on her face.
LACY 2.0: Software update complete, powering on.
Lacy turns on
LACY 2.0: Ah, much better.
She looks at Terra and Chris hugging.
LACY 2.0: Uh, did I miss something?
CHRIS: Yeah, but it was nothing that important. Come on, let's just finish up this fanfic by going to Montenevera, and see if they'll accept you as a friend now.
Terra stops hugging Chris, he gets up, and he walks away.
LACY 2.0: I feel like I did miss something. What did I miss, Master Terra?
TERRA: I'll explain it later.
LACY 2.0: Okay.
A beeping sound is heard
TERRA: What's that?
LACY 2.0: Oh wait, I forgot. When I'm turned off the security cameras installed in me are still active. They scan to see if there's any danger afoot or they just record coversations between two beings rather it be Pokemon or human, or both.
TERRA: That's, actually pretty cool.
LACY 2.0: Most of the time, when I was still Lacy 1.0 I caught things and conversations that scarred me for life shivers. The good news is that my previous recordings were all lost when my 1.0 design exploded, so I don't have to relive those memories again.
TERRA: Glad to hear that.
LACY 2.0: Now let's see what I missed.
Her eyes let out a high def holographic recording of Terra and Chris's conversation
After the recording is over, the hologram disappears and Lacy's eyes turn blue.
LACY 2.0: Oh, he purposely wants to make himself suffer.
TERRA: I know.
LACY 2.0: I wish we could help him, but he doesn't seem to want it.
TERRA: Yeah. Even though it hurts all of us to see him like this, we're all of his pokemon and we gotta accept what he wants. I really wish there was something we can do though. Come on, let's just head to Montenevera with him.
LACY 2.0: Okay.
Her eyes turns Lavender again, and her and Terra walk away.
CIARAN: This isn't the full of life energetic trainer we knew and loved back in the Alola Region. What happened to him?
EMMERANNE: I don't know, but we can't do anything about it. I guess, we'll just have to deal with it now.
AGHAMORA: Yeah.
PRIMARINA: I'm not crying, you're crying.
LAWRENCE: This is a sad day for all of us.
They all let out a sad sigh and follow Terra and Lacy.
AITHNEA: Poor Rookies, if only they knew this Chris better than the one they had back in Alola.
AMATERASU: Isn't this Chris the same person though?
ADELE: Way to ruin the moment, Amaterasu.
They all scoff and walk away.
AMATERASU: Sorry guys.
KORAIDON: Agias...
