Ivy POV:
Last night was too much for me, I knew exactly who that guy was; Rook...the drummer. He's very attractive but Ashleigh had to have told them about me so why did he still chase after me?
The way he looked at me during the bonfire made me really uncomfortable, no one has ever looked at me like that before. There was something in his eyes, and I definitely don't want to find out what that was. Hopefully I can avoid him and the rest of his band for the rest of the time that I'm here; I don't want to be pulled in any unnecessary conversations.
We're a few minutes away from the first show, MGK is performing first so I make my way to where the rest of the staff were. I made sure that my badge was visible so no one would question why I was here; I'm pretty sure I look very out of place.
The intro to the first song starts to play and I can't help but nod my head to the beat as Rook starts beating on his drum set. I make sure to get pictures of everyone on stage; they all have so much energy and show a lot of passion when playing the notes of the song. It's really beautiful if I'm being completely honest.
I noticed that anytime Rook wasn't completely focused on his drums, he was looking at me. What's up with this dude? I thought that slapping him would be enough to make his interest in me fade.
At the end of the set, when the band d headed off stage, MGK stayed at the mic stand. He looked down at where I was and waved.
Okay?
"I know a few of you have seen her around but we have our own photographer for fEST. Ivy Brooks. My drummer wants to see you after everyone performs because he has a crush on you." The tall tattooed figure spoke.
This caused an eruption of confused and angered whispers from the crowd. To say that I am embarrassed is the biggest understatement of the year. I wanted to lay low for the entirety of this festival but MGK just ruined that.
I immediately stormed off from the front of the stage and set out to look for Rook. I didn't have to look far because he's still lingering by the side of the stage with the rest of the band.
His eyes instantly widened when he saw that I was coming.
"I don't appreciate being embarrassed like that in front of tons of people I don't even fucking know! Did you think that was going to suddenly change my mind about talking to you?" I shouted, stopping right in front of him.
He held his hands up in defense. "I'm sorry, I didn't know Kells would do that. He's pretty unpredictable. And what's so wrong about me wanting to get to know a pretty girl like yourself?" Rook replied.
I scoffed. "Because that's all you see, is my looks. That's just the outside, you have no idea and are not ready for what's on the inside."
"How do you know I'm not ready if you don't give me a chance?" He argued.
"Because everyone that's ever gotten a chance, let me down. You are definitely no different." I narrowed my eyes at him before walking off to the area where my tent was. On the way there I got death stares and incredibly offensive comments about Rook taking an interest in me. I'm guessing most of the girls here are hoping to get with him.
"I don't understand why Rook would even want her." I heard. I turned in the direction the comment came from.
"Oh shut the fuck up you jealous cunt." I yelled and continued to walk.
