"So I heard that you called one of the fans a cunt." Rookie laughed.

I rolled my eyes. "Yes, she was a cunt . That's all there is to it. " I mumbled, not wanting to remember the words that came out of her mouth that caused me to call her that.

"So why are you this huge music photographer if you don't even like any human contact?" He suddenly asked.

"Because, I love music and taking pictures. I'd put up with anything to do this for the rest of my life, including dealing with idiots like you." I gave him a small smile to let him know that I'm joking.

"Oh you're feisty." He narrowed is eyes at me.

I shrugged, "So I've been told."

I notice that Rook scoots closer to me so that our shoulders are touching, he grabs my arm and ran his fingers along the bandage that was covering my cuts.

He never said anything, just kept focusing on my arm, which made me very uncomfortable. I kept racking my brain for ideas so that I could change the subject. I really don't want him analyzing that part of me....the weak part of me.

"Let's go swimming." I pulled away.

He smiled at me. "Sure let me go change."

I shook my head "Lets just take a dip in our underwear."

Rook POV:

I widened my eyes. "You serious?"

"No." She smirked and I saw the devious glint in her eyes.

Before I knew it I was being pushed into the water, feeling it cloud my senses. After I resurfaced, I see Ivy laughing her ass off.

My eyes narrowed and her smile dropped because she knows exactly what I'm about to do.

Ivy shook her head. "No, no." She backs away from me as I inch closer.

I smiled, "It's time for payback."

"Rook please, you don't understand..."

I tuned her out and quickly picked her up and threw her into the water. It took a while for her to come back up, but when she did...a loud blood curdling scream came out of her mouth. She was splashing the water and struggling to stay calm.

"Oh shit." I mumbled, going to pull Ivy out of the lake.

Once her body hit dry land she punched me in the face. This girl is legit abusive.

"What the fuck was that?!" I yelled.

"I'm extremely terrified of water asshole!" She cried, tangling her fingers in her hair.

I rolled my eyes. "Ivy that's stupid."

She looked over at me in disgust. "It's not stupid when you've had someone literally drown you at the age of five. It's not stupid when you have spent six months of your life in a coma because of that!"

That made me feel like the biggest douche bag on the face of the Earth, she already had enough on her shoulders and then I unknowingly dig up traumatic memories that I'm sure she wanted to keep buried.

"Ivy....." I started.

"NO!" She yelled and ran off into the woods, barefoot and soaking wet.

~~~
"You fucker!" Kells yelled and hit me in the back of my head.
The sun is setting and Ivy has yet to come out of the thick forest of trees. I just finished telling Ash and the guys what happened at the lake earlier and they didn't make me feel any better about the situation.
All of a sudden, K's phone started to ring.
"It's Ivy...hold on, I'll put it on speaker phone."
"Kells?" She was crying
"Ivy? Where the fuck are you? All of us are worried sick about you girl."
"I think I...I traveled too far into the woods. I don't know where I am. Please come get me."
"Shit, Ivy I'm sorry." I called out.
"Shut up Rook, she doesn't want to hear from you." He snapped.
"No...it's okay. Rook? I forgive you...you didn't know. Just come get me before it gets completely dark." Her voice shook and I could hear the underlying fear. There is definitely something else going on with her.
"Okay, just turn your GPS on and I'll do the rest."
.......
"Ivy?" Kells asked.
"I can't do that...."
"Why?"
"They don't want you to find me." Ivy cried even harder.
Kells frowned. "Who exactly are 'they' baby girl?"
"The voices in my head...the reason I'm an outcast." She whispered and the line went dead.
Ivy POV
The voices....they're back and they don't like that these people have the potential to make me happy. They try their hardest to keep me away from the thing that I crave the most...affection from other human beings....Love.
After hanging up the phone, I sit against a tree trying my best to ignore the different voices swirling around in my head, telling me horrible things about myself and convincing me that my life has no purpose.
I squeeze my eyes shut and hug my knees close to my chest as I smiled at the thought of Rook coming to save me...save me from myself.
