Opposites Attract

Chapter 7

Drakes POV~

After the interesting and awkward time at the beach I finally arrived home plopping on my very comfortable king size bed, I didn't really need such a huge bed but my parents liked to spoil me.

I put my tv on as I unconsciously flipped through the channels, my mind wandering to today's events.

Victoria had gotten into Katie's car I was happy to see her again until she looked upset when she saw me.

I felt myself sigh and lean back against the leather seats as Katie took off and headed for the beach.

It was an awkward silence but the music from the radio had made the ride a little less awkward.

We had finally arrived at the beach, we all got out, Victoria and I at the same time causing the both of us to make direct eye contact, I didn't mind but it seemed that she did.

After Katie and Victoria had gotten their beach gear together I walked ahead of them deciding it was best if I left Victoria alone.

I set up my own little spot in the crowded sand a few feet from where the girls were, I wanted to make sure they'd be safe, especially Victoria.

After I had gotten myself situated I headed straight for the water with my surf board.

The water on my skin felt incredible. I loved the ocean, it was my favorite place to be, besides from being at home in my room playing my video games or just hanging out by myself I had learn to entertain myself for six years now, ever since Victoria's mom had died and we stopped hanging out.

After about an hour of soaring waves and surfing I decided to head back, my back and shoulders were burning, indicating that I might be sunburnt.

I walked up to the beach with my surf board as I set it down in the hot sand and proceeded to dry off.

After I dried off I decided to take a little walk along the beach since not many people were here anymore.

I walked along the shore letting the soothing waves run over my feet and the splashing mist from the waves hit my face, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going and clearly neither was the person whom bumped into me almost knocking me off my feet and making me spill my soda.

I opened my eyes about to blow up on the person who had walked right into me until I realized who it was.

Vikki as I took in her features I helped her and made sure she was okay. I was over come by pure happiness when I stared into her eyes but she didn't seem to see it the way I hoped she did.

"Sorry Vikki" I heard myself say

"It's fine just forget it" she said, I was slightly taken back by her choice of words although I was used to her rudeness by now.

My arm was still on hers from when I helped steady herself, she pulled away and I couldn't tell if she was blushing or if it was the way that the sun shined upon her beautiful smooth acne free face.

She walked away before I could say anything else to her, I sighed and ran after her meeting her on the deck.

"What do you want?" She said harshly.

"To say I was sorry" I said looking at her.

"You already did and it's nothing" she said

"Okay if you say so" I said sighing and shaking my head as she and I both walked away from each other, I still felt bad for spilling my soda on her.

I couldn't get her off of my mind no matter what i did, even hanging out with the guys didn't help.

I was about to lay down and have a small nap, when I heard a small knock from behind my closed door.

"Come in"

My moms tiny petite frame appeared in the door way

"Get dressed into something nice darling"

"What for?" I asked confused

"We are going to dinner" she said her voice soft and delicate.

I nodded and got up after my mom had left my room, I went over to my closet and pulled out a nice purple dress shirt with a black tie with black faded jeans and my converse.

I walked out of my room and downstairs waiting for my parents, they both came down and we headed out of the door to the car, my dad pulled out of the drive way and we headed for where ever it was we were going.
