"Alpha and Omega entering. Eugene, any news on what we're looking for tonight?" Enid mumbles as she snakes her arm around Wednesday's waist, pulling the shorter woman closer to her as they approach a larger crowd. Disguised as local normie social media influencers, Wednesday Addams and her partner, Enid Sinclair, arrive at the scene under the alias 'Selene' created by the Addams family.
"No status yet, boss! No visuals on it either. Wonder where they're keeping it hidden?" Eugene responds, with the sound of keyboards clacking in the background. The two approach the warehouse's entrance. The big metal building with a hollow inside was filled to the brim with masked people, but its perimeter lacked security besides the entrance. Walking up to the big barn-like doors open just enough to let 2-3 people in, Enid and Wednesday were greeted by two heavily armed men in lion's masks.
"Invitation?" One of the guards declares, looking down on the two women.
Without a word, Wednesday raises her hand at Enid, who squanders all the available pockets of her white pantsuit to find a metallic invitation card. The girl dressed in a black lacey dress with a slit on one side hands the guard who spoke the card. Granted entrance, the guards nod at the two, heeding them inside.
Static feedback feeds through their receivers and a familiar voice fills their ears. "Stay cautious Enid, Wednesday. You cannot let the people around you know you both are outcasts. After all, these are the type of people who love Selene's work."
Back in headquarters, a tall, proud woman leans over Eugene's computer, looking at the scene through hacked cameras at the venue. Decorated in a prim and clean white cocktail dress, complemented with ruby red lipstick, Larissa Weems oversaw this mission in hopes leads would erupt for their team to chase. There was something bigger beyond these petty illegal auctions and Larissa promised she'd uncover it.
"For the safety of our kind." She articulated, as cameras flashed everywhere and murmur almost silenced her. "I will find who is taking our people, siblings, and family alike. Nevermore has never been just about outcasts. We deserve our place in this world too."
There hasn't been much Larissa had achieved since that statement. Made at a national press conference regarding Normie and Outcast relations, being appointed the public figure and face for such works had tolled on Larissa's mental aptitude. Not to mention any time they tried raiding a warehouse, it would be cleaned out and emptied by the time they got there.
She didn't understand the enemy they were fighting or how big and powerful it was. Either way, the facts are: Outcasts are going missing all over the United States with timely warehouse auctions surfacing into the normie underworld radar. But luck was on their side. Striking a connection using an Addams family secret, 'Selene' was provided an invite to this event.
Being a well-known activist against outcasts, 'Selene' was loved by bigots and men of power alike. Being the face of their hidden agendas, Wednesday's alias quickly rose to popularity among these groups. Glorified and honored for her bravery. In the end, these people will succumb to the very thing they loathe. Outcast.
As the two swayed through the congested crowd, Wednesday held her partner back from continuing further and faced her, tip-toe-ing to reach the blonde's ears. "Enid, Alcatraz's Warden is only a few steps ahead. Hold me closer, I'm going to gather some information." The warden was one of the suspected participants that Wednesday investigated prior to coming.
'Uh–" Enid blushes, still never getting used to skinship with Wednesday Addams.
"Enid." While the other girl was impervious to her lover's hesitancy, Enid slowly reaches around Wednesday, pulling her close enough to feel Wednesday's warmth.
