THAT MORNING, AFTER A LOT OF GOSSIPING AND GIGGLING BETWEEN THE TWO BOYS, they eventually made it to the school parking lot. It was the latest 'hot gos' in the school about how the two boys went from enemies to best friends overnight. Many were unsure what to think of this, especially Nancy who had been witness to the enemies side of things far too often.

Eddie Munson had seen the full-blown display of asshole-ery the boy had exuded just yesterday, and now he was best friends with the school's biggest douchebag. He couldn't help but think about what Gareth had said. Maybe he was just looking at the boy through the hazy view of a lovesick teen, a spell he had been under since that fateful first meeting. It was clear that Cole favoured the popular crowd. A crowd that Eddie himself was far from fitting into.

Billy Hargrove on the other hand didn't like what he saw. Not one bit. Outside of classes the two had been glued together all morning, and for Billy who was trying to take down Harrington, it was definitely a buzzkill to have the boy around. Hargrove hated the burn of jealousy that ran rampant through his chest whenever the snowy haired boy would pay attention to the brunette over him.

So now, as they sat in maths class, the pair having been separated a few days ago for their constant interrupting, Billy glared in Steve's direction. Cole was sitting towards the front now, only two tables away from his new best friend. He had switched places with the famous freak, who now sat, uneasy beside Billy.

"He didn't come home last night."

The voice next to him had shocked the Cali boy out of his glare, surprised that the other boy would actually have the nerve to talk to him. He looked over to the long-haired teen, watching as he absently scribbled in his notebook, little characters like wizards and women with horns.

"And they drove to school together this morning."

"So? I don't care." Billy growled out, not liking the idea that the boy next to him was able to tell what had got him so worked up. He turned his glare to the tattooed teen, who just shrugged his shoulders, keeping his head down. He couldn't help but notice the defeated expression on his face, the bags threatening to form under his eyes. The older male looked like shit.

"Okay then." His voice was quite flat, void of his usual outgoing, weird enthusiasm. Billy caught himself before he asked the question. He watched the boy for a minute, noticing the occasional glance at the blonde boy. He sighed out, knowing that Eddie and Cole were friends, and that they hung out a lot while living next to each other. Seems he was in the same boat as the school's freak.

The blonde in the front of the class was spinning his pen around his fingers, occasionally hitting against his rings and making a shrill clacking noise. The action worked in thoroughly annoying the student beside him, the sound of her pen scratching against the paper gradually getting louder until she huffed.
