Did I just get adopted by One Direction?!

Chapter 5

Melodie's POV

When Liam dragged me out of the room I just tuned out everything. I didn't want to hear what they were saying about me. Well it looks like you hvae managed to ruin another family. IJust then I got the wind knocked out of me and I fell to the ground. I tuned in and they were all yelling, I jumped up and ran out of the front door in fear of what Liam would do to me (Sorry Carrie :( ) My heart was pounding, I ran to the side of the house then tripped. My ankle was throbbing and I was too stunned to do reallly anything at the moment. Ignoring the pain I army crawled to the beautiful white rose bushes and hid. I started crying, once I was sitting there. I looked at my ankle and luckily it wasn't bent in a weird way. I sqeeezed it to make sure that it wasn't broken, I know that is a stupid method but right now I can't really do much to help it. I started poking all of the places that hurt and I smiled. It seemed that nothing was really broken. I looked up and smelt the roses.....wait...... don't rose bushes have thorns? I nearly screamed because all of a sudden I realized that there were thorns surrounding me, engulfing me scratching at my hair and face. I heard the boys yelling, but I counldn't make out what they were saying. I heard Harry scream and I started shaking knowing that they would be pissed when they found me. They would take me back and Ms. McClung would beat me... She was the woman that ran the orphanage she looked like a mean old dog and whenever a child was sent back they wouldn't get fed for 5 days. Sometimes we would get a piece of stale bread crust just to keep us alive. After the 5 days she would beat us every day for a month and during that time we couldn't come out of our rooms, or shower.... I heard footsteps pouding out here and I clenched my fists and dug my nails into my palm. I squeezed my eyes shut and sat there, waiting for something to happen. I heard Zayn scream "LAAADS!!! I FOUND HER!!! The boys were there in less than 5 seconds. Louis ran up and grabbed me, he held me in a bone crushing hug and I gasped for air. "Oh, sorry" he said. We all just kinda stood there in awkward silence until I sighed and walk back towards the front door. Someone grabbed my arm and I spun around and it was just Louis. :Where do you think you're going?" he asked. Oh no this is it he is going to hit me. I squeezed my eyes shut and backed up and braced my self for what was coming to me. He realized that he was scaring me so he said "No no no no no!!! I don't mean it like that. But really where are you going we don;'t want you running off again now do we?" Louis chuckled ruffling my already messy hair. I pointed to the house and walked through the front door and to the couch. I decided that I would watch some TV then sleep. I fixed pillows and blakets and snuggled up with the pillow.

Louis POV 

She walked away. She just walked off without saying anything. She looked pretty beat up when I saw her. She had cuts all over herself from the thorns and some nasty bruises. But there was some things that stuck out to me on her wrists. On the left was a small circle scar and a few streaks like she cut herself.... On the right was a light long scar like something had burned her, and more cuts... On both were these marks, like she had been tied up... I will have to find something out about this girl.

We walked back to the front door and she was sleeping looking like an angel. I remembered the little plush owl that she had clung onto at the orphanage. I dug in my pockets and grabbed it and just studied it. It was pretty cute with its big blue eyes. It kinda of reminds me of Niall, sweet, innocent Niall.... Or a furbie, I grabbed Melodie and brought her up into her room and set her down with the owl. I kissed her forehead and tucked her in, while I did this she was smiling that cute adorable smile. I smiled too and kissed her forehead again and left the room and ran into Harry. He looked very upset and scared and worried. "Aww Ha-" I said but he cut me off and asked "Is she OK?  Melodie. How is she doing? What happened? Can I see her? Did you do anything to her?" "Woah Haz calm down she is fine and is sleeping you can go see her if you like." "Thanks."  he mumbled and swiftly went into Melodie's room.....Weird.....

Harry's POV

Lou said she was alright. I had been beating myslef up over this. I think I scared her. If I did she might not talk to me. I entered her room anxious to see her and she was fast asleep cuddling with a plush owl, smiling. I slimed too and walked over and sta beside her on the bed. She came clser and snuggled into my chest, I just chuckled and kissed the top of her head. Alright I can't stand this anymore. "Melodie?" I asked "Mmm?" "Are you afraid of me?" I asked, she shook her head lightly and smiled and hugged me.I kissed the top of her head again and tucked her in then kissed her forehead. I should have left but I realy didn't want to. SO I just sat there and watched her, if she ever got hurt I would die inside. After awhile of watching her dream I was really tired and I laid next to her and cuddled her close and fell asleep................
