The next morning, after waking up in your new room, you got dressed and headed downstairs to the food hall. Surprisingly, The Beach did have a lot of food arrangements, you half expected it to just be items of food they took from an old shop. But since they had electricity here, they had stoves which worked, meaning hot food. Somebody tapped you on the shoulder, so you spun around to see who it was. "Hey!" Kuina smiled.
"Oh hi!" You waved back.
"Come, I'll show you the best food here" she said before grabbing your wrist and dragging you around the room. "Here! Now this makes you forget you aren't at home" she pointed at the ramen that was cooking infront of you. Your mouth watered a little at the sight of it. It did look good. The two of you put some in for yourselves and sat down at a table, it was still quite early so not a lot of people were awake, since most of them stayed up all night just partying instead of sleeping.

You sat and ate your food silently, still tired from sleeping in a new place uncomfortably, not to mention that you were a little tense while sleeping, knowing the lock didn't work. For the first half of the night, you just stayed awake in bed, being extra cautious about the door, but eventually, sleep took over you. Soon after, people began coming down and filling the rooms, and a loud chatter fell upon the dining hall. You spoke with Kuina but a voice cut over you.
"Everyone! It's time!" A man shouted loudly.
"Hatter's coming!"
"Gather up!" You heard many people shouting different variations of the same sentence and everyone suddenly started running to the main hall. Kuina stood up and stretched before you stood up too. "What's going on?" The two of you slowly walked over to the hall where a balcony overlooked you all, being careful to not get stomped on by all the people running aggressively.

Everyone stood cheering, looking up at the balcony. "The people have to clear games and collect cards to give to him" Kuina answered. First, some men with guns came and stood on the sides of the balcony, then, Hatter came. When he arrived, everyone's cheers turned into roars. He laughed and settled everyone down. "Everyone... the time has now come! It's time.... for the games!" He exclaimed and everyone cheered once more. "Now go! Collect your cards and clear your games!" He said, watching over as people all charged outside and hopped into cars.

"I'm going" a voice spoke behind you, making you jump out of your skin. You turned and saw Chishiya. He was looking at Kuina, not a shred of emotion present on his face. "I'm going too, I only have two days left on my visa so I might aswell" she said back. "What about you?" She turned to you, eyes wide.
"Oh I just completed a game yesterday so I have a few days. I'll be fine" you replied.
"Okay," she nodded. "Just stay here and don't cause any trouble, and you'll be fine" she reassured, putting her hand on your shoulder. You caught a glance at Chishiya and saw he was already looking at you, or staring, to be more exact. He stared so shamelessly each time, like it wasn't awkward at all. "Good luck in the game" you smiled nervously at Kuina, you really hoped she'd be okay and would return to you, but you assumed she must have been good to have survived this far. "Good luck to you too" you said, barely turning towards Chishiya and not making eye contact. A tiny smirk edged onto the corners of his mouth, "if anyone will need luck, it's you. From the types of people who are here" He and Kuina turned around and walked outside of the building.

You stood alone and the room had now emptied out, most people had left to go complete games. You still didn't really know how this whole beach thing worked so you thought it's best to lay low for now. You were just about to turn back to go to your room, or maybe explore the building, when a tall man placed his arm around your shoulders, stopping you in place. "What the-" you groaned to yourself. You looked up to see a boy with piercings all over his face, and long black hair, with a huge gun in his hand, resting on his shoulder. He smirked largely at you, baring each and every one of his teeth. "And who are you" he laughed. You gently removed yourself from his grasp and stood beside him. "I'm Y/n. I just came here" you replied. He moved a little closer to you. "Oh yeah? No wonder I haven't seen you around. I would remember a face like that" he looked you up and down, you had a feeling he wasn't talking about your face. Though he was coming off as very self confident and flamboyant, there was still a charm to him, but his machine gun was scaring you a little. And his lack of personal space.
