The girl's medical examination was only a couple of minutes long. Master ordered her to take her clothes off and lay on the carpet. The boy's, who were nicely asked to leave, went outside to inform the girl's parents about her absence.
'And?' asked Marinette, worried by the old-man's facial expression. She was feeling uncommonly well, so she didn't think that something bad was going on with her.
'I don't know how to tell you this but...'
After returning to the living room, the boys were met with the dark haired girl, who was stunned and with big eyes was looking at Fu.
'Is Master sure?' she asked quietly.
'There's no mistaking it,' the man shook his head. 'It would explain a lot. We made a mistake, but who would've suspected that?'
'Can I know what's happening?' Adrien cut in, not so culturally.
Master looked at her significantly, telling her with this that she has the right to tell them everything herself. In this moment, the door to the bedroom opened and the second Marinette with the blond came in, now in a casual clothing. No one missed the small detail that they were holding hands.
'It looks like we have more important things, right now,' the dark haired said happily, not having to face the situation of telling them about her situation, yet. She ignored the irritated by her behaviour look from the boy and welcomed the guests to the table. 'Sit down, there'll be a long story.'

The time was flowing inexorably, February started and ended faster then they had expected. The guests from another dimension were living in Master's living room, knowing that they can't show themselves in public, and they were mainly training and also learning, solving homework brought by Drach from school.
The Hawk Moth tripled the attack frequency, making their free time reduce almost to zero, what showed in their tiredness. Marinette was always walking irritated and, because of that, most of the house-mates were running out of the house as often as they could. Every time when Adrien was trying to talk with her she was ignoring him, or walking out of the room without a word. She knew that she should tell him everything, but she was scared. She was scared of the consequences and until no one knew about it, it was like nothing was happening. She'd started to notice the changes that were showing on both her body and psyche. She was tired more quickly and didn't take all foods. From the other side, she was eating more than normal, despite that she was drastically loosing weight.
Additionally, it turned out that the Hawk Moth had found a way to take the power away from Kwamis that were close, it resulted in fainting of their owners and then came a couple of days of regeneration. They had no method for this, beside defeating the culprit to stop it, so they were trying to reduce the effects of his doings and looking out for each other.
Summarising, Dupain-Cheng's house-mates were begging for vacation to The Grotto of Origins for a couple of days and to the house in the mountains. They needed to run from reality.
'Why?' Adrien asked her for the hundredth time this day. 'Why don't you want to tell me what's happening?'
'Can't you understand that I'm not ready?' she screamed, upset. 'It's not that I will hide it all the time, just...'
It became silent. Marinette, scared that another unexpected attack starts once again, shut her mouth and run to the bathroom. Unfortunately, not knowing what to do, she was quickly stopped by the boy who laid her on the bed and watched her with a worried look.
Her sight was loosing sharpness and the pain was rising. Every time was different. Once, it was beginning from being blind, another time, from dizziness or puking. Most of the times, she was managing to hide so no one would see. She didn't wanted them to worry, because they couldn't do anything with it either way. Once a week, she was coming to Master Fu who was checking how it was going, then he was measuring her with a sharp look, warning her that if she won't inform people who are close to her, he will do it.
