Waving Astra goodbye, as I watched her back enter her own apartment closing the door and losing my sight on her. I darted towards my car and began to speed off into the road, rushing to get back home.
The drive was quick as I saw my home appearing just ahead. The gate automatically opened as I was greeted by Nora. Our robotics assistant. She works just like any other home tech. If you ask her to turn on the light, she will. Open the garage door, vacuum the house, water the plant, turn down the AC. She's not like those robots that move around weirdly, she's just a system in our house. No legs, arms, face, just a voice that controls everything by our command.
We own everything here. And control everything. Nothing can get out of our grasp.
I pressed the button that opened our garage door. "Door opening." Nora pauses between every word like how a system would sound.
Zooming into the garage, I quickly parked the car and left the garage. Opening the door that leads into our large gym room. I walked through the heated room and headed straight to our main living room. Where I expect everyone to be.
As I got closer, I saw Elias near the fridge with Zack and Keith. The rest are on each side of the couch, in their own clouded thought.
Clearing my throat, all attention is now at me. I noticed Leo and Arlen looking worriedly at me. Probably wondering if she's doing okay, did she get home safely, how will things turn out.
"I think we should talk about...what just happened." I broke the silence.
"I'm all ears." Victor smirked, which I only returned a glare.
"Yea I think we should." Keith mocked. "Someone took my juice that I was saving for dinner!" He raged.
I looked over at Arlen to see him avoiding eye contact, pretending he knew nothing.
__________After I told them the whole story of how I found out about Astra's secret, even though she never knew herself when she was young.
All 6 of my friends looked at me in shock. Leo and Arlen had guilty expressions on their faces. I can't blame them though, I would've felt the same too, maybe even worse.
"She's coming next month right?" Elias asked from right next to me as he ate on some chips.
"Yea. I already got all the stuff for her." I leaned back onto the couch and relaxed my head.
"If it wasn't for you 2 freaks, she would've been here already, getting along with us." Keith spat angrily.
"Shut up, you would've scared her away once she saw you getting mad over some fruit juice." Leo whispered.
"We should invite her over tomorrow." Zack suggested. "It'll be a good time to get to know her, we'll invite her over for dinner."
I liked that idea, I think she'll like it too. But looking at what expression Victor has on his face, I don't think it'll be good.
