"YOU'RE still not used to it. You're as pathetic as ever, Ayanokouji-kun."
"Huh? Me pathetic? What's a word worse than pathetic... whatever, you're horrible." Ayanokouji replied.
"I'm flustered and blushing, thank you." she said in a dry voice.
I only sigh at their interactions. They both aren't on good terms yet talk regularly, and here I am, alone, with my book...
"Doesn't it cost quite a bit and take a lot of effort to make your own lunch?" Ayanokouji asked Horikita. "Who am I kidding? Of course you're making your own lunch. After all, you're a wo-"
"Pardon?"
"Won (One) good cook. Yeah..."
Ayanokouji made a joke to provoke a reaction out of Horikita, and he won.
"To be fair Ayanokouji, it's better than having to buy lunch every weekday." I thought.
"Although Shinjiro-kun's correct... the school supermarket also provides free ingredients, you know?"
"Wait they do? Hold on! I have to use this for my advantage! What section were they in?" I asked.
Horikita simply opened her bento in response. It didn't have much in the way of meat or fried foods, but it looked tasty.
"Answer me this instance!"
"Sorry. I'm mute."
"Huh? What are you waffling about? You just spoke!"
She opened her mouth and did movements but...
No sound was... coming out.
"Ah fuck you." I grunted. "But your food looks tasty."
"Mmm. Thank you."
"Sorry. Your other kind of food. I'm talking about the female-"
She swiftly stood up, went over to me, and I looked at her school shoes.
Ah...
I braced for the worse as she harshly stepped on my toes.
"Ngh!"
"How do you feel now? After what you were going to say?" I heard malice in Horikita's voice.
"A-Ah... It... hurts..."
"I see-"
"No... that's good..." I said before putting on a seductive voice. "You see, Suzune-chan. I'm kinda into those kinds of things. Especially you using your nice beautiful feet. I'm horn-"
I stopped. I looked deep into Horikita eyes and confirmed that she had the intention of absolutely killing me.
"Horikita... don't stick the compass up his ass... or something. Remember his teachings, 'No violence'." Ayanokouji pleaded at her.
"He'll likely enjoy that too, so I really won't give he want he wants. Instead, I'm getting you expelled for sexual harassment, Shinjiro-kun."
"I apologize greatly. I'll go to therapy and work to be a better person than before."
...
Hey... She's reaching for her phone... Is she going to message Chabashira-sensei and use Ayanokouji as a witness!?
I had to put my plan into action, my apology wasn't good enough. Thus-
"I'm sorry. I apologize greatly. Please forgive me and my actions!"
I did what any Japanese would do and fell onto the ground and positioned myself to do the dogeza. I repeatedly slapped my hands on the ground in a rhymical motion.
"..." She's... saying nothing.
"...?"
"...I have no words." Well... actually... you did had words as you said four words just now. But I'll let it slide.
After hearing my half-assed apology, it seems like she also let it slide. She went back to her seat and sat down.
"... Um... You're odd." Said Ayanokouji.
"I'm... I'm odd by the words of Ayanokouji Kiyotaka?"
"Yes." He nodded. "Ignoring what just happened, Shinjiro's on to something. Not only are you a bright scholar, but you're also an accomplished cook as well? That doesn't seem to fit your personality. I thought you're a loner who's fed food since they couldn't handle being outside their room." Ayanokouji claimed.
"I'm the type of loner to be in solitude at all times. Not because I'm anti-social." Horikita said.
"Huh? But that's the same-"
"In any case... Anyone can cook by looking up a recipe in a book or on the Internet. Our dorms come equipped with all of the necessary tools, as well." she answered. "I can cook multiple recipes as I've learned to cook when alone in my household as a child."
"Man... You'd make a great wife."
Horikita stared at Ayanokouji, with her eyes nothing with emptiness and darkness. "What's with you two annoying me? Do you want to suffer the same fate?"
"I- uh- I slipped up. So umm... Why did you decide to go through the trouble of making your own lunch?" He asked.
"The cafeteria is noisy. It's much more relaxing to eat here, wouldn't you say?"
"Really? But I feel like"
"Feel like what? An annoying person? 'Would you look at the time, it's time to annoy Horikita Suzune'?"
"..."
"You're always staring out at the ocean, but you don't have a surfboard. You always stare at the sky, but you don't want to fly. You always stare at other people's accomplishments, but you don't work for your own. You always stare at the clock yet don't finish your work. You lack determination, don't you?" Horikita claimed.
"You lack kindness. Do you know what that is? Kind-ness." Ayanokouji pronounced the word in a google-like fashion. Kind of like when you make google say the word the second time and it goes slower.... what am I talking about...
"No. However, I do know how to torture people and I'm quite experienced with it. Want to try as a first-time customer?"
Me and Ayanokouji looked at each other. Through our eyes only, both of us agreed that Horikita was indeed a threat to our life.
"I'm fine. I'm sure another person who's in this conversation would love to-"
"Huh? Yeeaaah? Sorry guys, it seems like I'm getting called by someone."
I stood up from my seat and toddled off... away from them.
"Damn rat..." I felt he stare drilling the back of my head.
"So, Ayanokouji-kun. Will you accept my deal? 55% percent off due to sale".
I did this because Ayanokouji really was a bitch.
Unfortunately, I'm now in uncharted territory so I didn't know where to go within this confined classroom.
