Epilogue

"Jacob, can we talk about us?" Hailey asked me.

"Can you please stop following me? I'm leaving, Hailey." iritang sabi ko.

"Can you just please think about it?"

Mariin akong napapikit. "Fine. Let me leave," I said.

Napahinga ako nang maluwag no'ng hindi niya na ako sinundan pa. Nakarating kami sa Tagaytay nang hindi ko nalalaman.

"Problemado ka yata, ah?" Ethan said. "Pinoproblema mo ba 'yong lovelife mo kay Hailey?" he asked.

"Asa," I said.

Kinabukasan, naisipan kong pumunta sa malapit na resto. Hindi ko alam, sabi ko kakain lang ako pero na-inlove pa ako sa nakilala ko rito.

"Mag-isa ka lang dito?" I asked her.

She shook her head. "Nope, I'm here with my friends."

Dalawang linggo na noong makilala ko si Caliah. Inaya ko siya na rito muna mag-stay sa bahay namin malapit sa beach hanggang sa matapos ang bakasyon. Parehas kasi kaming magi-stay dito for two months.

I really hate when boys were staring at her. Kahit iniiwasan niya naman, hindi ko pa rin maiwasang magselos.

"Get your hands off him o puputulin ko 'yang kamay mo?" napangisi ako nang maramdaman ko ang pag-alis ni Vien ng kamay niya sa braso ko.

"What's so funny?" tanong niya sa 'kin nang mapansin niya akong tumatawa.

"Nothing. I really like your ma-attitude side." I said.

I thought we were in a relationship, but I was wrong. Ako lang pala ang nag-iisip no'n. But nevermind, she's my girlfriend now.

Dinala ko siya kung saan 'yong favorite place ng grandparents ko. I told myself that I'll bring my special someone here.

I looked at my phone when it rang. Sinagot ko 'yong nang makitang isa sa mga kasama ko sa banda 'yong tumatawag.

"Hello?"

[Jacob? Where are you now?]

"Why?"

[We need to talk about our band. May gustong mag-manage sa 'tin sa States, we need you.]

I looked at Caliah. "I'm sorry, but I can't. I have someone right now, I can't leave her."

[Jacob, please. We really need you. Saglit lang tayo, I promise. Think about it, I'll wait for your decision.]

I've made my decision when she wanted me to stay with her. I decided to not leave her, but Kevin begged me to come with them.

I chose not to tell her because there's a possibility na sumama siya sa 'kin. She has a dream, ayokong mahinto 'yon dahil lang sa 'kin. But I regret everything I did noong lumipad na ang eroplano. I should've told her, I know she can wait for me to come home.

I left her there alone. I thought makakamusta ko siya agad pagdating sa States, but I was wrong. Masyadong mahigpit 'yong humawak sa 'min doon. Gusto ko nang umuwi, but they didn't let me.

"You're a fucking liar, Kevin!" I shouted at him. "Sabi mo saglit lang tayo rito? What the fuck is this? We're not allowed to use a fucking phone? I left my woman because of this nonsense! It feels like I'm in a fucking jail."
