18 years later
The sound of an alarm going off woke Dean up, and he firmly told it to shut up until he found the snooze button. He lazily opened his eyes and thought about the dream he had last night. Well more like memory, because even to this day his father was still out there alone and confused because he was possessed by a demon. The yellow eyed demon as Mary called it, she had history with it and now was hunting it down. It was at night where the faint memories of his father holding him or telling him to be strong got to him. Dean was terrified of losing those memories and furious with his mother for what she had become.

Dean had to grow up quickly after that night, as once everyone was safely away from the fire, his mother moved into her parent's house. It was heart wrenching and Mary kept yelling at her son to keep Sam quiet who didn't understand what was happening. Shocked Dean walked away from her holding his brother close, his dad said that he had to keep Sam safe. Then Mary grabbed him by the back of his shirt and it was a miracle he hadn't dropped Sam.
"Mommy!" Dean exclaimed.
"Where do you think you're going!?" She screamed. "Don't run away from your mother!" Tears ran down his face in fear. Sam cried as well which only caused more problems as Mary yelled at him as well.
"Mommy you're hurting me." He cried.
"You will do what I tell to do!" She yelled.

Dean trembled at the memory as her verbal and physical abuse got worse after that, her tight grip eventually caused him to break his collar bone. Now a days his mother was no better, always dragging them all over to look for the yellow eyed demon. He didn't know what she planned to do once she found it, his father might already be dead. Dean didn't want to accept that but he had preparing himself and his brother just in case. A tug on his shoulder pulled him out of his thoughts, and sure enough Sam was out of bed as well. A smile made its way onto Dean's face even though his brother was too skinny for someone his age.
"Hey Sammy what's up?" He asked. "Did you have another nightmare?"

Sam nodded and climbed into his brother's bed, most older brothers would push him away but Dean allowed it. Despite how intelligent Sam was, he was mostly mute. If he wanted to say something he would pull on whoever was in reach or he would write it down. The only person Dean heard him talk to besides himself was there uncle Bobby.
"I saw the yellow eyes," Sam admitted his voice barely above a whisper. "And I didn't want to scream because I knew mom would come in."
"It will be okay Sam," Dean responded. "You know I won't let anything happen to you."
"That doesn't mean I want you to get hurt by mom." Sam answered immediately. He hugged his older brother and despite Dean complaining about the chick flick moment, he didn't push Sam away.

Dean had been raising his brother since he was four, and because their mother treated them more like nuisances. He let Sam be as affectionate as he wanted to be with him, as long as no one was watching.
"I'll handle it, lets get some breakfeast we have to get to school." Dean said. Sam's face feel at the mention of school but he didn't say anything and left the bedroom, Dean rubbed his eyes one final time before getting dressed. Just his luck Mary was out, as she was out hunting a wendigo so the brothers were free of her for the next few days. Sam sat at the motel table and eat some fruit that had been left in the fridge, Dean silently hoped that there was something better to give him. He didn't want to get caught stealing food again, Mary would no doubt leave him to rot in jail.

As a mother you would think that she would at least care about what happened to her kids. But no she was more concerned with taking out monsters and keeping her kids from hunting any of them. Dean was pulled out of his thoughts when he looked through the cupboards and found some oatmeal packets. Perfect that could work, without a second thought he placed the dry cinnamon oats in two bowls, filled them with hot water and heated them up. Sam didn't say anything once the food was placed in front of him, but because he eat all of it and pulled on his brother when he was done to thank him. "No problem kiddo, now lets not spend too much time becoming girls and get to school."
"Jerk." Sam responded giving Dean his bitch face.
"Hey don't be bitching bitch," Dean responded. "Or I'll end up cutting your hair." Sam instantly put his hands to his hair making Dean laugh.

Lisa brushed her dark hair to tune out the sounds of her parents downstairs, the two were splitting up and she could smell the scent of betrayal and lipstick. Which meant that her mother had caught her father with his mistress, she had found out about the affair about two weeks ago. She argued with him when she found out about how he could this to his wife, but to her surprise he wasn't the only one having an affair. Apparently her mother had a history of sleeping with other men and woman, which made Lisa hate them both. She wasn't a hateful person as she believed there was good in everyone, but how could she have actual relationships when she had no good role models?

Her younger adopted sister Sarah came into her room to escape all the noise, firmly sitting on Lisa's bed.
"Oh no that's not a good sign," Lisa said. "How bad was it bud?"
"I hate them for doing this to us," Sarah responded. "What are we going to do now?"
"I know but we shouldn't say that," Lisa responded. "They are still our parents and they love us." Sarah rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. Lisa comforted her and said that they needed to get to school as it was their first day, their father was the owner of Blake Auction industries. So while they lived in New York, he sometimes brought them to another city to scout out estates for the company.
"Alright I'll come but only because I don't want to sit through another art show, and don't treat me like I'm ten."
