One day, one fine day, Steven was outside the house on the beach. His adult life, here it was. A future ahead, preparing his new vehicle for the adventure across countries, in search of something new for himself. As much as with difficulty, he told the Gems of his decision. And in the end, they showed their sadness and acceptance. Everything worked out, Steven had sorted himself out with them and Connie, and was enjoying his last day in Beach City.
First, he finds himself in the classic Donut Shop, where he first encountered Sadie and Lars. Meeting with both, who had invited for a farewell. It was a pleasant moment, with tears, friendship and happiness. Good times, review of the future and familiarization, also exchange of new contacts so that they can communicate in the meantime.
Then he visited the clothing store where he worked with Connie, a last meeting between the two, before this big breakup. Of course, things needed to move forward, and Connie wasn't ready; but that doesn't mean they can't go out for some fun one last time. There were tense, important and emotional conversations during the period, but everything ended well, because it always ends well.
Lastly, he finds himself at the great lighthouse, where he discovered the truth about the snakemen. Next to him was Ronaldo, eating french fries while watching the sea. This time, it was Ronaldo who called out Steven, which made the now-adult question what happened.
Ronaldo - "You know, Steven, I've been feeling something... a bad omen, I guess?"
Steven - "What do you mean by that, Ronaldo?"
Ronaldo - "Do you know about the whole snake-men issue and everything that happened in the past?"
Steven - "Yes?..."
Ronaldo - "So... I've been seeing some changes in the weather, and every day I wake up with goosebumps. I think there's something big coming, Steven."
Steven - "Did you call me up here just to talk about premonition?"
Ronaldo takes a deep breath, and says "Sorry, it's true. Even though we had our complications, it was nice meeting you Steven. Come outside, see? And you can take the potatoes, as a present from me."
Steven "... It's okay, Ronaldo. I appreciate it. Take care too... and try to rest more, there shouldn't be any more threats out there."
Steven tries a small smile of affirmation, still a little annoyed that Ronaldo had called him to talk more about a premonition than spending time as friends. Soon after, he leaves the lighthouse, preparing to speak with his father at his car wash, when... a great shadow covers the skies.
"Steven!" The mature voice of the father figure cries out to his son, seeing him at the same time as the big shadow.
"Father!" The boy screams, scared of his father and frightened by the gigantic shadow that has been covering Beach City.
The two look to the sky, to find what caused the gigantic shadow. And it was nothing more, nothing less, than a gigantic alien ship. A single one, which blocked out the sun in Beach City. A ship that surpassed the hand in kilometers, which compared if not surpassed the diamond ships, perhaps even the giant body.
Steven - "I don't have a day off... Dad, please step aside. I don't know what it is."
Greg - "Ah... alright, II'll let the citizens know... in case anyone hasn't noticed yet. Shall we back off? Same as before?"Steven - "I think it might be my last favor to the city, Dad."
