Spinebreaker: the rise of skullcrusher

Chapter 6: Indoms galore

After Hollowjack amd Gigant left, Bokito and Spyro both got up and asked me to follow them, being the loyal guy I am, I followed. They led me into another section of the cave where there was nothing, it was like you're average cave, but that's when I noticed a hologram projector in the center, it was well hidden.
We approached the projector, when both Spyro and Bokito suddenly stopped and turned towards me, Spyro said "This is the spot, now Spinebreaker, I want to ask you, what do you know about the first civil war of ARK." Bokito said after him "And also recall the enemies we faced."
I thought for a second than said "The first civil war of ARK was fought roughly 500 years ago between Lord Spyro, his brethren and the allies of ARK against the indominus rexes and skull cralwers, this was a 3 year long war which resulted in you winning." Bokito frowned and said "So you really did remove the Bastards from history didn't you brother". Spyro sighed and said "so close to the truth yet so far, in reality Spinebreaker, the enemy was a hybrid [A very rare creature], or you could say a species of hybrids called the skulldominus rexes, or skulldoms for short, now about 45 percent of the enemy at that time were Skulldoms and their leader, was a malevolent spirit, brought back to life by the previous indom and crawler leaders when they combined their body and soul, these creatures were relentless, they wanted to further expand ARK, while I did not, at first we were winning, but that's was until they discovered that there bodies, could stay active without food and water for a long time, us on the otherhand, required those essential things, so they pushed us back, all the way to the Center, but that's when a new species, one that was thought dead for millenia, came out of the dust, imagine a spinosaurus with 2 canons on its sail, each arm and leg having a blaster and his feet having the ability to crush someone's bones, with 2 cannons right above his eyes, which could shoot plasma that multiplied on its own, and could create a bubble of death around the original spinebreaker, destroying everything and everyone except for the spjnosaur and his allies. That's right, their species had apparently been forced into hiding by some other diety, but they had returned, and they helped us face the enemy head on, now since they were hybrids, they were also not affected by food and water. They also had a good sense of right and wrong, so they chose to side with us, and eventually we killed all of the skulldoms and banished the remaining indoms and crawlers, the indoms were punished less severely because they claimed they were forced to do those heinous acts." I soaked all that in, finally I had the nerve to ask "Thank you for revealing your secret Lord Spyro but how do I fit into all of this?" But it was Bokito who gave the reply that probably changed my life "The name of the species of hybrids that helped us, was called Spinebreaker". I was taken aback, I had the same name as an extinct species but how and why? I asked "H-how is this possible, this had to be a coincidence, right?" I looked at Spyro, who looked back at me, he than said "I don't belive in coincidences, you know why, because the Spinebreakers died off just 100 years later, leaving one message, saying 'He is our legacy, he who is named after us', and funnily enough, no one named Spinebreaker showed up after their disappearance, until you". I tried to wrap my head around all of this, I was named after an extinct species of hybrids, who helped in the first civil war, and apparently I was their legacy, whatever in Tartarus that meant, I did not have a clue. But I had a question on my mind, I asked both Spyro and Bokito "Can I an image of the skull crawlers?" Theh just nodded and stepped aside from the hollogram projector, Bokito said something in his monkey voice (don't tell him I said that) and a hologram of the most wierd and cursed thing ever showed up.
Imagine an indominus rex, now remove the front body, including the arms, hands, neck and face, and replace it with the front part of a skull crawler, meaning the hands, arms, neck and mouth of the skull crawler attached to the Indom, now give it 5 rows of teeth, a very long tail, a height that is thrice of mine, some bone plates (that usually cover a crawler) instead of the hair and very very bloodthirsty eyes. You've got yourself a skulldominus rex, disgusted? So am I.
I stared at the image until Bokito said something else and the projector closed. Spyro than turned to me and said "Now you see what we are facing, and it gets worse, so I have to tell you something, go up to the flyer landing, tell your friends what happened, than go home, tomorrow I will come and we shall talk further, understand?" I nod and say "As you wish my lord, I than bow and start to leave, when a question enters my mind, I turned around and asked "What is the name of the leader of the Skulldoms, Spyro looked at me sadly and said "Skullcrusher, his name was Skullcrusher and he was 32 summers old when I last saw him". I nodded and turned around and left, hearing the 2 bosses talking to each other.
Eventually I manage to get out, I surprisingly found both my friends on the bridge, I didn't know mini bosses could disobey orders. Anyways, they saw me and ran up to me, Hollowjack asked "Are you alright? Did they hurt you?" I replied "No actually, I'm fine, Lord Spyro and Lord Bokito just did some explaining to me and asked me to tell both of you to return to my house where he will meet us tomorrow. Speaking of which, weren't you supposed to be on the flyer landing?" Gigant replied "We decided to wait here, why would Lord spyro want us to return back home, and why would he come meet us, Hollowjack, you know him, any idea?" Hollowjack replied "No, even I'm confused. But we should obey him, he wasn't given the title of smartest and wisest Dino for no reason" . Me and Gigant agreed and started to walk home, on the way I told them the story, Hollowjack already knew and helped in answering Gigant's questions about the spinebreakers and my relation to them.
It was noon when we reached a lake that was at a little distance from my territory, about 34 kilometers. We decided rest before completing the final leg of the journey, this lake was very deep and had lots of delicious fish inside, so I dived in and managed to catch a lot, I than gave them to Hollowjack who used fire to cook them (I forgot to mention he can breath fire, all dodrexes can). Raw meat is good and all but cooked meat, especially cooked tropical fish meat, is a delicacy. Gigant smelled the food and sighed, saying "Now that's proper food". I replied "Too true, too true". Hollowjack laughed and said "Well eat up, than Spinebreaker can show me his new home." I agreed and we started eating, maybe I thought, just maybe we could enjoy an afternoon together.

I was soo wrong

A pack of 3 Indoms suddenly broke out of the clearing from behind us. They were generic colours (white) and not that special, except for one which had black eyes, an Apex (2 times bigger than original creature and 10 times stronger) and the other 2 were Alphas, scratch what I said earlier about them not being special. 2 alphas and an Apex, here on the Center, this kept getting better and better.

The alpha indom on the left said "I told you there were dinos here, you doubted me". The one in the middle, the Apex, replied "Well well, look what we have here, a spino, a giga and even a mini boss, Hollowjack wasn't it?" Hollowjack growled at him and said "Begon demons, and we may let you live." The Alpha indom on the right said "Mind your tone, these are your new masters who you are addressing in such a way." "New masters my ass, guys let's get him." I said. Hollowjack ageeed but Gigant said "these are Alpha indoms Spinebreaker, at least 3 times your size and a lot more powerful, not to mention the Apex." The Apex replied "Yes little spino, run away, like your species always does!" I growled in anger and said "Hollowjack you take the Apex, and Gigant can take on an Alpha, me as well, I want to fight these monsters." Gigant looked reluctant to let me fight but soon agreed, so we cried our battle cries and ran into battle.
I charged the Alpha Indom on the right and attacked him, I stood on 2 legs so could use my arms, since I was smaller I also took advantage of that, the indom was slow and dumb, so I kept dodging left and right and kept dealing blows to him, than suddenly he caught me by surprise and grabbed my hands with his and started to wrestle me by pushing me back, I used all my strength but couldn't succeed, eventually he pushed me hard and before i could recover, he bit my sail and tore off half of it.
I screamed in pain, this was the first time i had faced such a serious injury, however I couldn't let this affect me, I instantly charged the Alpha, who was surprised that I was still alive, and managed to bite him on the neck, I than used my hands to snap his neck, killing him instantly. I turned around to see Hollowjack and Gigant finishing off with their enemies, Gigant's left arm was broken and he was leakimg blood from his stomach where half his skin was torn off, Hollowjack was not severely damaged but since he had taken on a stronger being, his entire body was red with cuts and blood. I looked at my back to see my sail's top half missing, I than started to black-out from the pain, the last thing I heard before I became unconscious was Hollowjack and Gigant running towards me, screaming my name. Than there was darkness.
