LOLA
The first thing I did the next morning was throw up.
I sat on the bathroom floor when I realized I had just thrown up in his apartment.
I walked out and searched for him, but he wasn't there. Then, I walked out of the bedroom, but he wasn't there either. I threw myself on the couch when my phone rang, "Where are you?" I asked.
"I'm downstairs."
I approached the window, and saw him looking up, "Why don't you come up?" I asked.
"Cause I'm waiting for you to come downstairs."
He hung up, and I went downstairs.
I jumped onto him, and kissed his cheek, "I've got your suitcase in the car, a full tank of gas, and an idea." He pulled my arm and threw me onto the passenger seat
"Where are we going?" I asked once he turned on the car. He didn't answer, once again.
I stared out the window until we got to the roof of this publishing company, staring at the whole NYC nightlight shine. I stood up and got closer to the edge, "Lola." He called. I turned around with a smile to see him holding a ring pop with his two fingers on one knee, "Will you marry me?" He took a gulp. I jumped in the air, and nodded, "Yes!" I laughed. As soon as he slid the ring pop into my finger, I licked it. He kissed me, "I don't even know your name."
"Yes, you do." He said."No, I don't"
"Yeah! You do." He laughed. "Maybe, you were too drunk to remember."We spent the night in a hotel.
For the next few weeks, I worked my butt off to graduate with the highest grade, and I did, 95 percent. Highest grade in the whole class. Graduation day came, and the only people who were there were my friends, and him.
"Lola Kaczynski." They called my name. I walked up the stage, and they handed me my diploma along with a rolled-up paper. I turned to the crowd to see a bunch of people applauding, but the only one my eyes stopped at was him, he stood up and applauded louder than everyone.
"I'm so fucking proud of you." He kissed me.
"Where are we partying?" Amanda exclaimed.
That's the only thing she thinks about.
We went over to the bar, where I ordered my usual.
After a few hours, they were all drunk.
Thoughts rushed through my head on how I was going to get back home, I was the one that had to drive now, "Let's go home." I said.
"Right now?" He asked. I nodded, "Whatever you want, baby." He took the keys out of his pocket, I tried to snatch them out of his hand, but he pulled them away quickly, "Nope," He kissed my forehead, "You're the passenger princess, not the driving princess." he laughed.
"No, no, I'm driving." I chased the keys.
"I can drive, trust me." He kissed my lips, "Besides, no one tells me what to do, besides my girlfriend." I laughed.
"I am your girlfriend."
He gasped, "Oh, my God! Yes, you are. You are so pretty." He placed his hands on my face and pouted, "Oh, my God it's Lola." He turned towards the other, "Guys, it's Lola!" He exclaimed.
"Let's go, babe." I held onto his arm, and guided him outside, "Give me the keys. Now."
"I can drive, babe."
"No. Give me the keys."
"Baby," He held the sides of my shoulder, "Trust me, I can do it."
"No! Give me the fucking keys. Now!"
"I am not going to give you the fucking keys, get in the car or walk all the way home."
"You're a fucking asshole, you know that?" I snatched the keys out of his hand, "Now you can sit down and be the passenger princess or walk all the way home." He smacked his tongue, and sat in the passenger seat.
He wouldn't stop bothering me the whole ride, poking my neck and stomach, "Stop!" I yelled. I shifted my hands on the steering wheel, leaving sweat marks on every side. He just laughed at my nervousness.
"Leave me alone!" I turned to him and yelled.
